Hope she and other victims get a lot of money from this guy. Don't know if he will put the money to bad use or not. Can't believe the lottery actually let prisoners buy tickets!

Posted in: Thai Airways to resume direct flights between Tokyo and Phuket See in context

I wish the route was operated by Singapore airlines or something. Thai Airways have a habit of giving bad service and also being delayed. Either that or replace all their air hostesses with Japanese, Singaporean or Malaysian ones. I flew them 4 international flights in a row within a space of 1 week:

Delayed over 30min: 3 out of 4 flights Delayed over 1hr: 2 out of 4 flights Delay because passengers had to WAIT FOR THE AIRCREW!: 1 out of 4 flights Rudeness: All flights Air hostess with Attitudes: All flights Run out of meals: 2 out of 4 flights

And they charge as high as JAL and ANA or more.

All this from a person who loves Thailand and only wishes their airline could better represent the country!

Posted in: School teacher arrested for peeping up student's skirt in Oita See in context

If people choose to wear short skirts, then expect to be peeped. However shouldn't the government change the school uniform or something!

But this guy seems to be the real deal, standing there for a while and actually making an elongated attempt at peeping.

if its not effected by the bean price increase, why are they increasing the price of beans! More reason not to buy Starbucks. If McD's come out with decent latte or capuccino then bye bye starbucks and other overpriced coffee joints.

Posted in: Utah is going to 4-day workweek to save energy See in context

Brilliant! 3 day work week would be even betterHowever wouldn't this only save energy for government buildings. The people with the holiday would just be out of the office and using energy in other activities.

But what a great idea. They should implement this in japan, but I think people would not have a clue what to do if they had freetime.

Posted in: Head north to a ski paradise See in context

Isn't this the hotel Hilton got from Prince and rebranded. A welcome change I suppose, but Hilton are well known for being the "5 Star Hotel" with a 4 star feel. Hope they don't overprice just because of the name, otherwise rather have the Prince back. Amittedly it won't be difficult to top the Prince Hotel before it.

Posted in: English graffiti 'Hack' grounds bullet train See in context

Idoits....There is good graffiti and bad....this falls in the latter category. Unsanctioned Graffiti-ing usually doesn't add value to a neigbourhood, more an advertisement for lawlessness. Hope they catch these guys and graffiti everything they got and see how they like it!

That aside, security-speaking, its good they stopped the train. If someone has managed to graffiti the car, don't know what else could have been tampered with.

Posted in: Convenience stores oppose calls for shorter business hours See in context

There are other things they should concentrate on than convenient stores hours. good/safe 24hour convenient stores one of the good things about Japan and has more benefits than the CO2 emmision reduction. They should try and find other ways to reduce CO2 first. Must be some idiot behind a desk just says things without thinking it through properly. All the peoples tax money go to fund these idiots!

Posted in: Bush urges Congress to lift ban on offshore oil drilling See in context

Maybe this adds weight that the high oil prices have been a result of US government manipulation so that off-shore drilling can commence........ The higher profits gained by the companies during the higher oil prices can then offset later the more expensive off-shore drilling.

...On the postive side high oil prices in the US is good for the environment. Maybe the US will start to learn that big gas guzzling cars are not the only mode of transport.
