Sorry but your appeal to authority in this is not valid, there is zero respected institutions of science that don't consider this completely flawed explanation well debunked beyond any possibility of being right. Either the scientists of the world and decades of studies with thousands and thousands of participants are wrong, or some nameless person on the internet without any evidence is.

"Nameless", no less, we thankfully, we have Virusrex to chime in.

15 Red Crescent paramedical staff executed one by one and their bodies and ambulances buried by an IDF bulldozer in sand dunes.

Apparently, this statement is FALSE. Worse: some were not executed, but rather buried alive.

Posted in: Starbucks releases new Frappuccino in Japan to help us 'forget about everyday life' See in context

You're going to remember real life real quick when paying at the counter.

That's funny!! I mean 720 yen. You could buy a whole package of strawberries for that. And it's much healthier.

Starbucks could win more customers is they also added ramen and yakisoba to the menu.

I'm not so sure. Wouldn't they prefer coffee? I'll go to Tully's.

Measles is one of the most contagious diseases on the planet. One person who has it will infect nine out of 10 people nearby if those people are unvaccinated. A two-dose regimen of the vaccine, however, is 97% effective at preventing measles.

Posted in: Russia bans Elton John AIDS Foundation to defend 'spiritual and moral values' See in context

Going way, way back. Elton John used to be cool. Great hair, well dressed. Like a normal guy. Then... "I'm Still Standin'" and that hat and all. His faced turned permanent-smile and clown-like; The Joker comes to mind. By the time Lion King and Lady Dianna's funeral came, it was as if you took him seriously only because you felt you had to. I hope you know what I mean.

There's a saying: if it's better left unsaid, then unsay it.

This is a fantastic idea! Could lead to related services employer-side. As it is so much easier to quit, it'll be so much easier to fire someone. Reminds me of the divorce app they had some time back. Whatever happened to that?

Posted in: Why Trump's auto tariffs will hurt his working-class supporters See in context

Please do some reading before making such comments. Adam Smith was actually in favor of tariffs. It would be some forty two years after the publishing of "An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations" that David Ricardo would write his critique of Adam Smith in his book "On the Principles of Political Economy and Taxation" published in 1917 that he would instead argue against tariffs and for free trade. That was a ground breaking change in economic thought and contrary to what Adam Smith argued.

Oh, that's embarrassing. Until you corrected me, I really had thought that Smith was generally not in favour of tariffs. Thank you.

Tariffs are so un-Adam-Smithian. Give Americans freedom to buy foreign cars, if they so wish.
