I feel for the victim. I hope she gets justice and also is able to get the relevant counseling. This low life should be subject beyond the fullest extent of the law. I cannot state how I feel because my post will get removed most likely because we have this extreme liberals who care more about the criminal than the victim.

Glad to see individuals can have a nice gathering without having alcohol. Always remember, we DO NOT need alcohol to have a good time. Especially in Japan with a large variety of leisure activities (maybe more than any other country) who needs to have alcohol. With all the choices of leisure activities Japan (and maybe neighboring Taiwan was well) is one of the last countries on earth that need alcohol.

If we are comparing Japan to other countries regarding safety from A to Z maybe a good country for comparison would be Taiwan because Taiwan is the country most similar to Japan. If Taiwan does better regarding safety in one category, maybe Japan can learn from Taiwan and vice versa.

Here is an easy solution, how about they give these kind of criminals the death penalty via the firing squad.

Posted in: 75-year-old man arrested for killing wife who suffered from dementia See in context
I do not condone taking someone’s life however I do not want to rush to judgment. As we all know dementia is an EXTREMELY terrible disease. Aside from the individual who has dementia this disease is EXTREMELY difficult and EXTREMELY stressful on everyone else involved. Dementia can wear out anyone physical and mentally. Further the cost of dementia care is astronomical. No one can really assist anyone for in this situation and anyone who may be able to assist is often opportunistic. For instance, any agency, nursing home or geriatric care service charges an arm and a leg for their services. Further, such entities look for any excuse to increase the fees. What is disturbing is that aside from the individual who suffers from dementia many take advantage of the other individuals involved because it is understood they are in an extremely vulnerable stage.
My reason for the above is that anyone who is Mr. Sakamoto’s situation can break. I suspect he was in a situation similar to what I described above.
In conclusion, all this being stated, not that I condone taking someone’s life but I do feel for Mr. Sakamoto. I hope there can be some resolve to all this.

We're almost at the point when we have to hire bodyguards for our children.
In Japan?! Maybe if you're hysterical. Look at the numbers of violence in the country, and calculate the likelihood of something happening to your kids, and if you're a rational human being you'll feel better.

Both comments make sense. However, if Japan is one of the safest countries in the world like Taiwan (never heard of anything like this occurring in Taiwan), then these kinds of incidents should NEVER occur. My understanding is that Taiwan is extremely similar to Japan especially Okinawa. Something needs to be done to ensure these incidents NEVER occur for eternity.

Posted in: Man, woman found dead in Yokohama apartment in apparent murder-suicide See in context
This is extremely sad. I do not understand why the man had to become violent and take someone’s life just because the relationship did not work. It is never easy after a breakup but having to resort to extreme violence is absolute insanity. There is never an excuse for violence in any way, shape or form.
Also, let’s say if a relationship whether is it a serious relationship or even marriage does not work, that does not mean there has to be hostility. Relationships are never easy and do not always work. Even if a relationship does not work/ends in a divorce, the parties can still be friends or even best friends. A relationship is much more difficult than a general friendship. As a result, there is no issue with staying general friends after a breakup/divorce. A friendship is obviously different however it is still a good thing. If a relationship does not work, rather than having hostility, it is much better to maintain a friendship. Even if the other person finds someone else, rather than see that other individual as an enemy, how about see the other individual as a potential new friend.
For instance, let’s say if a relationship Individual A and Individual B does not work and Individual A decides to end such relationship thereby telling that Individual B. Individual B may not like the news but he could just be civil about and acknowledge his understanding and thereby they can still be friends. Further let’s say if individuals A meets Individual C and they form a relationship and it results in marriage and it works out well. Individual B can still be friends with Individual A and has the chance to find a new friendship with Individual C. In such example it is much better if a relationship does not work out to still maintain a friendship and engage in Universal Tranquility.
Regardless of whether or not a relationship does not work or works, it is time to engage in Universal Tranquility for eternity.

Why should Japan be concerned about accepting refugees. Japan like other countries has enough of its own issues. There are many in the domestic front who need assistance. And why should we be concerned about refugees especially since we do not know these individuals. We need to discontinue being politically correct and ensure that protecting ourselves is on the front burner.

After reading this article regarding the heavy snowfall, if one was assessing which prefecture to choose to reside on Japan, Okinawa would be the Number One Choice by far. Which is better:
A. Dealing with the Cold, Snow and/or Ice; or
B. Being in comfortable temperatures on the Sand, Sea and other beautiful activities associated with the Sand and Sea.
“B” would be the easy choice. If one chooses B, Okinawa by far is definitely the Number One Prefecture to reside.

The Japanese police should install a sting operation to catch these parasites.
They are actually doing on crowded trains that are notorious for "chikan". And even there, it is a lot of work hours with pretty meager results. Just having police women walk around nilly willy in Tokyo waiting to be groped would be a ridiculous waste of ressources.
0( +0 / -0 )
The idea behind the sting is to take preventative measures so that these type of incidents never occur again. Also, if the parasites get at least 15 years behind bars are with no chance of parole, that is an additional deterrent. We need to cease being concerned about the parasites’ rights and start being concerned/have sympathy regarding the victims (Yes I know some extreme liberal/communist is going to object to this).

Posted in: Man arrested for groping woman suspected of several similar offenses See in context
The Japanese police should install a sting operation to catch these parasites. Have a police woman go undercover as someone dressed extremely provocatively to lure these parasites and then they can be caught before causing harm. Once these parasites are caught, the minimum for such crime should be 15 years in prison with no chance of parole.
Any more serious sexual crime should have 88 years with no chance of parole.
We need to foster a safer society immediately.

If they are concerned about Covid (assuming for one second it REALLY exists) then every traveler regardless of vaccination status should be tested. It is not fair to judge/target someone if they are not vaccinated. Everyone’s body is different. What if someone gets the vaccine because they are fearful of being grounded from traveling and then suffer a serious side effect???!!! Then what?????????????????????????????????????
A vaccine is NOT going to make anyone safer.
It is extremely unfair fir someone who is vaccinated to get special privileges
If restrictions are lifted for tourists, it should be all tourists regardless of vaccination status.
Japan please do not turn into Australia, New Zealand, Canada or certain cities in the USA such as New York City. Grounding someone like a kid who is misbehaving because they choose not to be vaccinated is unjust and extremely tyrannical. Please Japan, you are better than such places.
