Of course because the most famous MeToo members are victims or prostitues or abusers.

As a movement it doesn't really set a clear direction about complaints.

All those that got awards from the services given to Weinstein are victims right ? Never heard their names.

@sakurasuki

Why it doesn't mention culture and bureaucracy? Only mater taxes and language?

"Language" is often cited as a problem but in fact it is an issue that natives face, foreign languages.

It is a tattemae way to say "people, behaviors, culture, social interaction, racism, taxes, no rights, no justice protection, discrimation for rentals, ect."

NO, experts deliver an expertise, not an opinion. Despite wishes.

For the apologist. talking about the human rights of polar bears in north pole has nothing to do with the topic.

Reality check

Instead of making a small list of convinient numbers, the fact is Japan is a US colony and therefore must pay for colonial army. It is decades now and it is not fair that JP tax payers and citizens are still punished for what a few idiotic families did and failed last century. US should give back the country it's full independence. JP should write it's own constitution.

Before it happens .. Japan will pay ...

Crying about mutual benefits won't help.

@thepersoniamnow

It is not because you can't see the point, despite other posters explaining you clearly here, that there is no point ...

The deaths counted in JP are only from persons that have been tested positive then died, and mostly no test is performed so the number of deaths is "low".

Cant understand why some people still talk about severe cases only when the core of this pandemic is asymptomatic sick people contaminating others ...

Not sure if these are really low IQ apologetic foreigners or locals, of course in the second case I'd try to be more polite and explain.

Seems some need to read a little more. For those "who don't understand and need example"

SEE the other asian countries that dealt with it, China, Thai, Laos, Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan ect ...

I have no proposal to replace defective PCRT testing, this is an accurate point however, PCRT is not so good.

For JaneM2, that seems to twist simple post the most. I am talking about elderly because they need more protection than other, the figure show that kids are mostly unaffected, being contaminated or not. For the elderly the virus is much more dangerous / lethal. Here you won't know, there is no autopsy in Japan.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Posted in: Tokyo reports 102 new coronavirus cases See in context

What is/are the international PRC testing flows

Massively testing the population so you have an accurate figure of the number of sick people, with or without symptoms, then you can quarantine them to preserve elderly and treat them so they don't spread the virus more.

Like all the other asian countries.

Last time i checked JP did in total about 180.000 tests since December is this 1.4% of 120 million people ? No

Just to give an idea 180.000 is what is performed in an average half a million to a million pop. town in Europe.

You are jumping from a sophism to another simply never answering the point.

You have sources for that ? Or it is just a guess from your uncle again ? Why not south America (such as for me) ? Why not China? if you leave in JP you must know many, ask ?

(Europe is not a country btw)

Notice the list of complaining countries.

United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe.

Note not Korea not China not even one Asian country.

@Antiquesaving.

Lets forget about the demonstrations based on the "guy that knows a guy that my uncle saw in another country".

JP gvt has no power over its population your are right, that's justifies they cannot force lockdown or prevent people from traveling. Let's say it entirely true.

But how does that justify imposing a ban on less than 1% of the population only meanwhile JP tested 0.2% of the population anyway. What is the point ? "Because we can" ? Where is the math or medical fact that motivates the ban ? "Because we can" ?

Well people with their life affected would need to understand the reason.

I that hard to get ?

Posted in: Japan's re-entry ban to contain virus unfair, Western business lobbies say See in context

Better safe than sorry ?

Wrong: ban prefecture travel, kyabakura, close clubs and bars, ban business trips, commute, gathering in parks, beaches, ect. Then you will be safe, maybe, if you start testing (still 200 time less tests in JP than SK).

Preventing a minority of population to come back meanwhile you could just test at the airport makes no sense.

There is no medical justification.

This country will simply loose most of its foreign high skill Workforce and foreign company investment on the long term along with its credibility ... But well LDP does it, population says nothing, it is a democracy so. As posted previously that tells you where you should not pay your taxes, or where you can feel at "home".

I don’t understand why you guys are so serious about mathematics

You must be able to understand that not everybody can go down to your standards.

Like repeating the same thing over and over thinking "people" "don't understand" meanwhile you are stating the contrary. A typical case of Dunning-Kruger effect. If you do not understand why you get constantly down-voted, meanwhile "you are right" please Wikipedia. This is a serious advice, not an insult.

How many tests ? how many autopsies ? Since when a report by incapables is a proof of reality ?

Japan reports 1021 cases.

Among a population from 125.000.000.

Do your Maths please...

@Ossan

You can repeat ad eaternam your blind sophisms, sharing with us your glorious Google findings. You can adore Japan all you want and for the reasons you need, but simply denying historical facts that do not match your narrative is childish. JP deserves better class of foreigners than deniers, they already have LDP for that.

In this period of history whether it was in Eu or in Asia, many people were enrolled by force, coercion, hunger. social pressure, repaying their family's "faults", propaganda, ect. Saying you can't be forced to join a colonial army is pure revisionism and is simply not true. Usually people saying that are the first to collaborate, when problems come.

He is a war criminal, wrong side of history, i agree he "deserves nothing". This also shows what you get fighting for or supporting JP without the right blood in your veins. Treaty or not.
