Yeah, Biden has serious reasons to panic now.

An utterly ludicrous claim

Biden claims it, other previous Presidents have.

Abandoning our allies is not even loyalty to our own nation.

Abandoning your nation is worse than treason.

Woke? Oh boy. Hey isn’t Biden doing the America first bit with Chinese tariffs and blocking Nippon steel?

Every dog finds a bond here and there if they sniff long enough

Supporting Biden and woke. I’m glad we finally agree on something.

Don’t support Biden, but yes, he’s woke.

Nah, Make America Great Again includes sprinklings of ignorance, bigotry, and treason.

No, it means wake up, focus on America first and foremost, putting all Americans ahead and cater to their needs first and above all else, loyalty to the nation, and that’s a good thing.

American xenophobia politics when election year. Thanks to Donald Trump, politics has never been so cheap like this !

Where are the geniuses from yesterday on here talking about the perpetrator being from 'a certain religion of peace' and 'this is what you get with multiculturalism'?

I will wait before making a final conclusion. Usually with these stories (sad as they are) it takes, sometimes months until we really know the full truth, we all have our opinions and the media being what is is overwhelmingly, I think the responsible thing is to just wait and see.

the Chamber of Commerce, the South Texas Alliance of Cities, was co-authored by republicans and had widespread support amongst the right.

Liberal cities. That’s like saying Orange County represents California

1500 more border patrol personnel, 4300 more asylum officers.

Their boss is Myorkas, what do you expect for them to say??? Most are married have families, pensions, so yes, the majority of them will say, yes.

But we know your particular MAGA brand of ‘patriotism’ dictates that you can only support measures that you believe will personally help Trump, not the country.

No, the majority of agents take the job for one reason, to secure the border no matter what and they’re not allowed to do that under this president, they’re not illegal process administrators, that is not their job, that is not what they signed up for.

Trump showed this by demanding his minions kill the bipartisan border bill.

Thank God

How's the Biden impeachment going?

Going as well as every other impeachment that both sides tried to do to each other.

This is why nobody takes republicans seriously.

Another right-wing crazy-train derails and crashes into nothingness. Because it was running on a track that didn't actually have any supports.

Another nothingburger by a bunch of angry morons that the Democrats dared impeach their boy for trying to sell out America for his personal benefit, then tried to overthrow the government because he didn't like the way the people voted. So they tried to bring up a baseless impeachment, and surprise surprise, there wasn't anything to support it.

The only bigger nothingburger is the Biden investigation.

And these idiots will claim that it's a conspiracy to hide Biden's crimes, showing they are just as stupid today as they were after the 2020 election when they believed Trump won without any evidence to support it.

These people are literally the bottom dregs of humanity.

Well, and to your point, that is the reason why I am not a big fan of impeachments, wasn't for it in 1999, and still in 2024, I get the symbolism of it, but unless the party in power controls the Senate and you are impeaching someone from a cabinet position in that same party, the Senate will never convict. So both sides win and both sides lose.

Mikey from life cereal grows a spine and does what’s best for the country.

Who?

US debt is not important since they can print money without any impact on inflation and interest rates. Other countries cannot print significant money without its side effects.

Well, exactly, and that is why the only thing that the Dems have going for them as far as policy is concerned is: abortion, let them run on that, and spend money on that seriously. Killing babies will not stop crime, illegal drugs, illegal aliens, attacks on our police, and rising food and gas prices, this just helps Trump.

No. Disgraceful is when the right tries to impeach a guy in response to "border crisis" when it was their politicians that who refused to "close the border."

What? Myorkas is Border enforcer, that should have been his top priority. I get it, he works for Biden and the Dems don't want it, that is disgraceful.

Good on the Senate for rejecting this circus.

Good, why would they convict and remove one of their own, I saw that coming a mile away.

lol you of all people should be wary of predictions this morning.

Not really.

Ukraine aid is a go and impeaching Mayorka is a no.

Again, no surprise and no win. Definitely not for the nation, but yeah, you guys have abortion. lol

No it doesn’t.

It absolutely does, and as someone who is from a border state, the average American or European has no clue what is going on, live along the border for a year and let’s have this conversation again. Wonder if AOC or Pelosi would do it,

It shows the crazy caucus had nothing, again.

Well, that is what Myorkas and this administration are, that’s twice now we have agreed on something today..

if these bills come to the floor, they’ll pass with 300 votes each. That will mean they have significant GQP support.

Another difference is that nobody is going to remember this at the ballot box

When it comes to US citizens, border, immigration and illegals running amok, not only will they remember, that is one of the main issues on the minds of Americans

https://news.gallup.com/poll/611135/immigration-surges-top-important-problem-list.aspx

while nobody is ever going to forget that Trump was impeached for actually being a criminal, TWICE

and acquitted TWICE, they didn’t forget that as well.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Posted in: Senate dismisses two articles of impeachment against U.S. Homeland Security secretary, ending trial See in context

The difference between the this impeachment and both of Trump’s is that in both of Trump’s he was proven to have done what he was accused of and the acts were crimes.

The same and even more so with Myorkas. The man betrayed his adoptive country.

His Toadies just didn’t want to be bothered to hear witnesses because then they would have looked like the hypocritical goons they were for failing to apply the law.

And the Dems don’t care because they want this to happen. Increase the number of Democrat new voters.

Here, there is no criminal offense alleged much less proven.

Proven, the Democrats in the Senate didn’t want to convict.

So not even remotely the same thing.

Yup.

Posted in: Senate dismisses two articles of impeachment against U.S. Homeland Security secretary, ending trial See in context

The cult impeached him, not for any high crime much less a misdemeanor.

Not doing your job at securing a border is a high crime.

Not even for incompetence. Nope, he was impeached over a disagreement on policy.

National security and sovereignty is a very, very huge disagreement policy.

That’s not what the process is for.

Didn’t stop the Dems.

So after all the huff and puff by the usual legal midgets, it dies with a whimper.

Just like with the Dems.

Can’t get more MAGA than that

Or more left crazy.

Yes, nothing has changed. Still stand by it. But did I think he would be removed by a Democrat led Senate, I would have told you, unlikely.

Well, no, I already knew the Dems would never oust him. So no, I’m not disappointed in that sense.

No surprise.

“The impeachment trial is the third in five years. Democrats impeached President Donald Trump twice

Yup, and he was acquitted twice! Lol.

But look, the GOP tried to impeach Clinton that ended in disaster as well. And it’s understandable. When you control the Senate and someone of your party is impeached, why would you slit your own throat. I get and supported the symbolism of the impeachment process, but I knew the Senate wasn’t going to convict in any of these cases, but one can try at least if anything. So is it a waste of time for either side? Depends there are so many ways you can view something like this.

Posted in: Yes, efforts to eliminate DEI programs are rooted in racism See in context

If it weren't for institutionalized racism, government programs to ensure fair access to all would not be necessary.

That is just false, the U.S. doesn’t have a problem with institutionalized racism, the election of Obama proved that twice. In the 2008 election, he received approximately 43% of the white vote, while in the 2012 election, he received around 39% of the white vote. After Jim Crow it was understandable to immediately give people of color a chance to enter the job market and obtain an education without prejudice and push in giving them a chance, but that was almost 60 years ago. There is absolutely no need in this current timeframe force any business to accept people of color, race, ethnicity or religion. You should always be considered and elected to a position based on merit, skill and ability, race should never be a factor in selecting any perspective candidate. Is the U.S. perfect when it comes to racism, no, but is it fair, it absolutely is, and we have the national history to back that up.

Posted in: Yes, efforts to eliminate DEI programs are rooted in racism See in context

But you frequently claim the democrats have done nothing for black people since the 1950s.

How did it change? Was it all the republicans?

It wasn't Republicans and to your first question, Not really. Democrat's not only destroyed the Black family unit, but they have brought more misery and disparity to the community, after the creation of Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society", the income of black Americans steadily went down, it has slightly trickled a bit up, but still remains one of the lowest following Native Americans. Crime rose as well within the Black communities started to see more and more children born out of wedlock, the emergence of increased single-family homes.

Democrats historically have done more harm than good. Blacks make up anywhere between 20% to 25% of the Democrat voter base, this is very significant as this is pretty much the only way Democrats can stay in the way they have been for years because they are the most loyal base that the party has, but the bad thing about that is they promise the black community, so many things, but they never fulfill on those promises. Go to any black neighborhood across the United States, and tell me which community is prosperous, which one has the highest income earning, which one has the law, dropout rate, or how many can read above the eighth grade level, where there are two parents in the home, where stores are not boarded up?

you don't see blacks, running, historically towards the Republican party until recently, so Republicans cannot get the blame, because historically blocks have not voted for them in massive numbers, literally, every district were Black people live there as a mayor or governor, and even the blacks that live in red states, they vote predominantly and loyally to the Democrat party, those are just facts, and there's nothing racist and pointing that out the problem is when you sit down and try to talk to people about the stats, they will call you racist, has nothing to do with racist, it's rooted in reality and facts.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/06/04/economic-divide-black-households/

another huge problem is the education, gap, and you have a serious problem with a lot of black youths they cannot read or read properly or even do math, now who's fault is this? It's a fault of the public education system, and public school districts, unions vote, predominantly Democrat, and what perplexes me is why have they not done a better job at taking care of these kids, their parents pay a lot of money in taxes and these children are in school failing and no one says anything.

https://thehill.com/opinion/education/579750-many-of-americas-black-youths-cannot-read-or-do-math-and-that-imperils-us/

DEI Or affirmative action, or not helpful for anyone, it gives the impression to blacks, as if they need to have assistance from the government, because they can't do it on their own, and at the same time it puts burden on the government and on white people thinking they have to do something, we live in a fair in just society, people should be judged under their skill in merit, never on the color of their skin, or ethnicity, when you do that that practice is racist. You should always want the person that is qualified for the job and not to meet any quotas based on race that is wrong and immoral and everything against what we stand for as a nation. We all all the same.

DEI is a victim to right-wing cancel culture.

It should be canceled.

The problem remains.

Black people are still killed by police at a higher rate than other groups

Blacks commit higher crimes at a higher rate than any other race. Should they be killed, absolutely not, but if you don't listen to the police, become combative and want to shoot it out or get caught in the act of committing a crime and you run and you don't stop, then whatever happens is on you.

So yes, the problem remains.

DEI, and affirmative action should be outlawed, they are both discriminatory, and they do nothing to help the nation move forward and past the evil policies of what the nation thought at the time was normal.
