Posted in: Avoid crowds and non-essential gatherings, health minister urges See in context

Those who can should avail themselves of “flex time” and work-from-home options. That can held minimising crowding for others who have commute at peak times. I expect my employer will announce that everyone who can should work from home.

People like him and Pat Roberts, both of whom blames disasters on gay people, give Christians a bad name.

I have no need for this, yet like Strangerland, I can feel the twinge of a hankering.

I loved building blanket forts in the living room as a kid, and tree houses and forts (snow and lumber, depending on the season).

Perhaps instead of buying yet another tent, I should just build myself a blanket fort this weekend in my living room.

I have been really impressed with the technology and transparency. We get to hear the refs discuss decisions as they review an incident from several angles and confirm their decisions. Really amazing.

Will it be an air show, Wolfpack? The ones I’ve seen have always been over an airfield, rather than a city - for safety reasons. Over a city you get a flyover with some coloured trails at best.

This fakery May have been the straw that broke Sarah Sanders back. She could go along with a lot, but not faking the USA into a new war.

Is this why Sarah Sanders quit? She’s not willing to go along with this charade?

Bass4funk, have you seen the Netflix doc, “Get Me Roger Stone?”

I really knew nothing about the man. Now I understand him somewhat better. He is unusual, that, I think everyone can agree on.

Posted in: Japan to recognize indigenous Ainu people for first time See in context

Has anyone else noticed the similarities between the Ainu and the Pacific Northwest indigenous cultures? I suspect they are related.

If you get a chance, I recommend a visit to the museum of northern people’s in (or around) Abashiri. I was stunned at the similarities in clothing design, decoration, etc., among not just the geographically close (well, relatively) Ainu and Inuit, but also the Sami of Finland. It got me to wondering how much and what came from having shared history (maybe) and how much and what came from having shared scenery, environment, and challenges. Fascinating place

All the other fights were MMA, and the fighters were able to use all their training and skills. Except the main event. One fighter was hobbled, by not being allowed to use half his repetoire. Boring.

At least a lot of the earlier fights were worth watching.
