Posted in: Japanese workers took 62% of paid leave allocation in 2022: gov't survey See in context

I wonder how much of that was actually sick days when people were forced to use paid leave as if they were having a great time away from work....

Let's hope not. Forced socialising with people you're forced to deal with every day is not my idea of fun. People should be allowed to spend their time with people they like in places they want to visit.

@Yuuju I'm not going to do all the research for you, but Spain and Ireland are becoming less religious. Maybe look into it.

@Eastman If you're interested in security, Signal seems to be the better option.

Line is trash.

Whatsapp isn't great, but much less bloated than Line.

@jimizo Yeah, Lampard should've been given the boot after we lost to Bournemouth twice in a week.

I had lost all hope and then came the Brighton match....can still see us messing things up next weekend... These have been a few stressful years!

And a same-sex marriage is impossible by the definition of marriage.

How do so many of these crackpots get voted in in the United States? Does any other country have so many openly weird politicians pandering to oddballs like this?

Posted in: Outpatient clinics overstretched by rapid spread of Omicron See in context

From experience we've learned that doctors won't test children unless they have severe symptoms or they're known to have spent time with someone who has tested positive. Doctors won't test adults unless a close contact has tested positive. Pharmacies have few to no tests available, and won't give you them if you have ANY symptoms. Instead, they tell you to go to a doctor, who, as I said above, won't test you unless a close contact has tested positive.

Without a positive test we have to go to work. We can't rest at home because then we waste our annual leave. If we test positive we don't use our annual leave.

Good luck with that. Obon's coming, people are tired of half-hearted restrictions and a shambolic vaccine roll-out. Expect some high numbers over the next few weeks :o(

Another solution to a problem that doesn't really exist.

If you're not capable of drinking from cans, maybe you shouldn't be out by yourself, and you certainly shouldn't be left around sharp objects.
