Posted in: Japan's economy minister says Trump misunderstands trade See in context

Japanese Tariffs/taxes on American autos and other products such as motorcycles, alcohol, cigarettes, and many others household products are as high as 110%. Whereas the U.S. Levys tariffs/taxes on Japanese’s imports in or below the 15% mark. They’ve even attempted to bet these by establishing subsidiary facilities in the U.S. to avoid the 15% and to cut the higher Japanese worker cost. The same holds true for most other countries the U.S. trades with, to say there’s no trade imbalance is Ludacris and self serving. Trump receives advise from U.S. ecomists and acts in the sole interest of the same where others who have claimed to represent the United States have allowed this imbalance to continue until the United States has amassed a vast trade deficit with the rest of the world.

Posted in: Trump defends revoking Brennan's security clearance, lashes out at Mueller See in context

I’ve said this so many times I feel like a broken record. Security Clearances (SC) are issued following a Background investigation (BI). They do not pertain to everything classified, only to that information incidental to your position. Once you no longer have a Need-to-Know they’re retracted (placed in limbo) and your given an oral and written debreifing - signatures required. If you ever have a future need for that clearance you will be given an updated BI and reissued your retracted SC. Senior officials military and government like to keep them to assist their future employment and not because its a privilege. There is NO such thing. Need-to-Know is just that period! All the other rhetoric is just that.

Globe expansion within the Asian Theater of operation necessitates the need for the JSDF having an adequate complement of personnel to provide the necessary Homeland security should the need arise prior to any of its fellow SEATO members coming to it’s aid should the need arise. If age restrictions prevent present recruitment requirements then the age limits need to be adjusted to meet the Nation’s Security Posture. Age is not the only contributing factor — Medical exams including psychological evaluations will determine — Fitness to Serve!

Hiroshima prefecture lies in the middle of Chūgoku. Most of the prefecture consists of mountains leading towards Shimane Prefecture; and rivers produce rich plains near the coast and make it a natural bowl for the collection of massive rainfall waters. The city needs to exam better ways of drainage throughout the entire prefecture, this is not the first time they’ve experienced flooding following heavy rainfalls. That said, our prayers are with the families and friends of those who’ve lost the life’s and we wish a speedy recovery for all.

Posted in: Allies confront Trump with trade numbers at tense G7 summit See in context

There’ not a country in the world that does not place high tariffs/taxes on U.S. imports to their country. American autos sold in Japan are accessed import taxes of 110%, I know this for a fact having been stationed there for 10.5 years. There are however many American made items that do not sale there due to poor U.S. marketing practices (No operating instructions in Japanneese). Canada, Mexico, and the EU governments use tariffs on American imports as a means to bust there budgets and receive/ substitute taxzation on their own populations. They’re all crying “foul” to cover their longtime abuse of the Fair Trade Regulations that they’ve agreed to abide by, weaker past U.S. administration’s for whatever polical reasons have failed to call them on it . President Trump and his Economic advisors have crunched the numbers and the math doesn’t lie. As to Russia for all her faults the rest of the world can not exclude her from everything she remains a major power and needs to be recognized as such if were to come together in the future as a goble community.

Posted in: Japan welcomes Trump shift on TPP, but warns against renegotiation See in context

History tells us that the freest trade does not necessarily guarantee maximum growth of the world economy. It also tells us that the launch of the WTO regime and various other initiatives to further liberalise the world economy, including TPP, had, at best, a marginal effect on global economic growth. In this respect, President Trump's dumping of TPP and his intended revisions of other trade agreements themselves would not have strong negative effects on the world economy.
