@aly Rustom
I agree too, except the atheism part. Im an atheist, and perfectly mentally well. As to these findings: Nothing new. I've been in Japan since 2001 and observed it since then. Wrote about it extensively in my 2009 book. This problem will not improve anytime soon. One thing I do know is: not my kid. I will not allow japan to hammer my daughter. She will understand that she's always encouraged to be the nail that sticks out.

Yet another white guy massacring people in america. And they have the nerve to call black people violent. And by the way, it can't be a racially motivated. Sikhs (south asians) are caucasians and so is the perpetrator.

un-frickin-believable. when i left california for japan 11 years ago, no dignified, self-respecting white person would pee on a "roach coach," let alone dine from one. in 2010 when i returned to LA, food trucks are all the rage. and now in paris? my how times have changed. hope they pay homage to the latinos who started the phenomenon way way back in the day.

Harvard and Oxford in the same breath as University Tokyo? don't think so, todai doesn't compare. i advise japanese students to steer clear of japanese universities and instead go to community college in america (I'm partial to california because its the only livable state there) then transfer to a university of their choice in the US. American K-12 may well be the worst in the world, but their tertiary education is second to non. Harvard over Oxford any day.

Posted in: Whatever happened to 'post-racial' America? See in context
america was never and will never be post racial. obama is not black, his mother is white. had obama been black, he would've ended up like herman cain: managing some pizza joint. america is a heterogeneous society, which has advantages and disadvantages. people need to stop the whining about race and increase their travels around the world. heterogeneous societies are not the norm around the world: homogeneity is. and whether or not you agree, the United States is the best example of a functioning heterogeneous society. No society is perfect, (not even japan, my first and only home) they all have varying degrees of dysfunctionalities. But whether or not you agree, the United States (and maybe canada) is the best country for the Negro.

Ok, a little correction here. Latino white marriages are not interracial, except if the latinos are Negroes. Most Latinos, like whites, are caucasians. so they maybe inter-ethnic marriages, but not interracial. and secondly, contrary to popular belief, race is not a social construct, but in fact a biological one.

i remember the very day dante called me and told me he got that gig. i had done a tuka cm in 2004 where they totally gave me the shaft and paid me 170,000 yen, for a full media (tv, print, radio, billboards etc) campaign, when they had told me it was only gonna be on tv. in LA where i had done CMs and voice overs, that would've been a $70,000 gig at the time. I told dante to be careful and predicted to him that, at 3,000,000 yen a year, having to travel around the country to all the softbank stores, they are screwing him. But fortunately I was wrong. very very very happy for him. thats one eigo no sensei in japan who done good. looking forward to seeing him in this 5 minute cm
