Saw that yesterday, with the words of Carlos Ghosn. Seemed confident about China.

LiN: I'm from SP and haven't gone back in 2 yrs. Thanks for the update. I would expect the elected President would at least have a say about security, a very big issue. It seems drilling oil is more on her agenda. And they say Lula is behind her all the way, so..maybe too early to tell how things will turn out in 2014. Cheers! And Cheers to my fellow Paulistas and Brazilians all over ;)

LostinNagoya (or rather in Brazil :) ah yes, good old Havelange. My father had one of his books autographed. How are preparations going there? Is Dilma getting involved?

2022 sounds too far ahead for me. Maybe they should start bidding for Mars.

3D? and

most people today are more interested in the scores than the games and those are available with a mouse-click.

Where's the fun in that...balance, balance!

Is it men doing other men's nails? hmm..I always thought men liked(those who do anyway) their nails done by women, who let's face it, are a bit more savvy about it? And I'm talking about manicure, not glitter by 'nailists'.

so...it's pretty useless ay. If i wanted anything motorized it'd better not be a bicycle. May work with OLs, mothers and jiichan & baachan. Great, another threat on the streets!

Posted in: Why do you think that Christmas decorations and illumination displays are put up so early in Japan? See in context

Because it's meaningless here and it's done early to get it over with quickly.

Then again all the theater (talking loudly, makeup, etc, etc) is the thing - can't do anything else because they're annoyed, rettsu do something that will annoy people for a 'change'. Yeahh

i don't care if people talk on the phone in trains or busses, and i don't care if they do their make-up. sheesh people stop watching others so closely and get a life...

Try doing that at rush hour in Tokyo. It's not wanting to see it, it is having to.

Posted in: Woman arrested for using spray on bus passengers in Chiba See in context

But my guess is she would use the stoopid spray even if she didn't have a cell phone. Lunatic.

rude people, the lot of them. Ban cell phones, they just make things worse than they already were. If the stoopid majority of ppl don't have or follow manners, insert a device that automatically stops service or self-destruct. Mission Impossible-like.

Posted in: Common misconceptions about the opposite sex in Japan See in context

I think the assumptions are rather close to the real majority. The last one though 'always neat and clean' I am not sure. I saw a program about a wife who didn't bathe for a whole week and she worked outside of her home. The husband discovered by finding 'mysterious white flocks' coming out of her hair!
