@ Overchan..

Where were you that you had a 14b in a 70 Series?? That would be as rare as hens teeth.

Pretty much every 70 series either came with a 3B (early models) or 1HZ or the 5 cyl PZ.

Like Yugodabe above....I have a an 80 series 1HD-T but had a HZJ 77 for many years. I miss the 77 but honestly they aren't in the same league as the true king of the off-road hill.....the 80 series

Also, the new 70 has the v6 gasser ....booo.... and pretty terrible fuel economy for a new 4L. Probably looking at 6 km/L real world. I'm going to go take a look at one though.

Here's my simple test.

Post a "volunteer" position to teach kids or take them on a day camp trip or whatever.

Any dude who puts his hand up with an interested look on his face........rejected.

The dude who has absolutely zero interest....hired. ;)

I'm sure Sapporo is fine. You must have me mixed up with someone else. Lived near Asahikawa many years ago but never Sapporo.

Bogus article written by people who were in nothing more than their high school computer club.

I played all star baseball and AAA hockey back in the 80's. I guarantee anyone else on here who did as well or played Pop-Warner football in the US will say the same thing. BOGUS...nonsense article.

These kids will look back on this time of their lives with pride. For many it will define who they become as adults. Look at their faces...they are having a blast.

These team sports teach you to internalize and self evaluate which is something that is being totally lost on the latest "Me" generation.

As for the arm damage....hogwash. Consecutive days during a tournament is going to have no ill effects on the future of a 17 year old arm. There will be plenty of opportunity to wreck the arm once he enters Japanese pro baseball.

Ya...I'd be in for a few bags. Hell, I eat the fish swimming up and down this coast...so what's a little risky rice going to do??

I do remember. All the "quality" tv like Love Boat, The A Team, Gilligans Island and Dukes of Hazard....argh.

As a young guitar player trying to figure out guitar parts on a cassette.... play, reverse, play, reverse...for hours. I think it made me a better player but it sure is nice to hit Youtube and have a solo down in a few minutes.

I could go on and on....and, don't even get me started on porn...haha.

Some good things though. Late 70's, early 80's were great music years.

The "pre AIDS....mid coke" years were a complete blast!!

JT posts never cease to amuse. I don't agree with the what the guy did. Maybe he should have called Animal Control. That would have been ok...right? The end result..a dead cat...ultimately. I remember my grandmother talking about drowning cats back on the farm in the 30's. It was a matter of fact to keep the number of cats in check. According to all of you...my sweet old granny was a monster.....and that's funny. Feral cats are big problem around our area. A local vet did a spay and neuter program a few years back but it didn't really change anything.

BTW...I'm a cat and dog owner.

Canada put on a clinic on using the neutral zone trap. It makes for a boring game IMHO but when it's done correctly and when all the big star egos are put aside and fall in line with it....it's impossible for the opposing team to get any kind of rhythm. Sweden was never really in this game.

gorin.jp has been good, too. Although watching with no commentary takes some getting used to.

The US vs Canada game(s) should be interesting from a penalty standpoint as well. My god the officiating is bad at the Olympics. I got away with more when I was in minor hockey back in Canada..

One thing is for sure...I'm bloody sleepy in the afternoons these days staying up all night watching hockey..haha.

Posted in: Russia crashes out of men's ice hockey; Canada to face USA in semifinals See in context

I agree with Probie...after watching that Latvia game last night I think the Americans are going to easily knock them out. All I see from team Canada is really effective cycling in the corners but useless peripheral shots at ridiculous angles......Also...WTF is Rick Nash doing on this team....lumbering around out there on this big ice?? At least let Subban play to make it somewhat interesting. Come on Team Canada...light a fire under your arses or the Yanks are going to embarrass you.

USA-Sweden final.

Mirai...

It's not about being proud or bragging. My point was ....big deal.... everybody did that kind of stuff when I was a kid. We TP'ed each other cars and rode our bikes off the roof into my friends pool, too.... it's what kids did. Granted 19 is pretty late for all the childishness but felony charges, assault charges, deportation preceedings....?? Resisting arrest... when all other charges are dropped..(ironic) A dozen investigators in his house looking for the egging evidence......?

Seriously, have we gone insane??

And Yuritani....What drug conviction?
