Obviously looking for clues or evidence leading to solving a bigger crime, on second thoughts maybe not as it's Japan after all. I've heard or read somewhere that stealing ladies underwear from clothes lines is a big thing in J even tatty old ones go missing I believe... obviously a fetish of some sort.

Is it me or are the lengths of schoolgirls' skirts in Japan much shorter than elsewhere? Little wonder this fellow got excited. He probably dropped some shopping and accidentally pressed the 'take photo button' on his phone several times as he picked up his shopping all simultaneously of course.

I expect the only reason why the police caught up with him was that he couldn't run too had with his pants at half-mast.... oops

The woman of this unfortunate child is doubly stupid and irresponsible for not only causing this rather unfortunate death but also for playing the mindless pachinko game.

The Japanese system, the families of both father and mother should all hang their heads in shame for letting this innocent baby meet it's end so tragically and so prematurely. Unfortunately such cases will continue to occur until the Japanese system of social care and welfare and also Japanese people's attitudes alter. The mother will sadly be held most responsible for this death (and perhaps she was). If/when the real truth emerges then we'll know for sure. It could all have turned out so different if only the father and mother sought some help or if they did was there anyone listening?
