Posted in: Japan to lift virus ban on re-entry of some foreign residents from Aug 5 See in context

I don’t understand why any of the above posts are championing this “change", it is still extremely discriminatory of those who live and work here, pay taxes, have families but are NOT Japanese. If anything, it’s made it even more difficult.

People, write to your home countries’ media outlets. Tell them what’s going on, ask them to report it. You may be surprised and we may get some equal treatment!

The US military needs to treat where they are with respect, consideration and due intelligence. They have not done this in Okinawa (again) and treat the locals like second class citizens (again) in their own country. The whole approach, the COs, the hierarchy are an absolute disgrace. Utter incompetence, lack of due care and appalling disregard for the health of the local community.

If you don’t wear mask, sanitise your hands, and social distance, you’re a covidiot and need to read up on cognitive dissonance. Shame this publication will not allow me and thousands more of us to truly speak our minds, the are would be on fire. Stay safe. Keep others safe. Don’t be a selfish idiot.

I really do not rate Japanese radio, faaaar too controlled and censored by HQ. It is boring, formulaic, and has no grit, dirt or fever about it. Clinical and clean. AKA CAC.

They risked the international communities health. Come to japan, it’s safe. When they knew it wasn’t. That IMO is unforgivable.

If ANYONE doubts what can happen, if ANYONE thinks life is normal, look at Lombardy, Italy. That’s what can happen. FOLLOW the common sense approach. Wash your hands. Keep away from large crowds. Wear a mask to nullify face touching.

Posted in: UK ramps up virus fight: no pubs, 12-week isolation for some See in context

No pubs, where there are no children, but school OK? Children having shown to be asymptomatic, so can give it each other, then spread to people who will develop symptoms. And the herd immunity, through no control? Very risky play by Cummings and co.

Japan (Although NOT testing -- as Abe trying to save Olympics), about a month along the line of the UK. So, UK: Wash your hands, don’t touch your face, keep social distancing. Common sense approach, just as flu.

Some various opinions on proposed (but now changing?) UK approach:
