You know what they say about keeping all of the people happy all of the time. Keeping them healthy and alive should come before happy.

Toilet paper was not a sensible large quantity buy, that was a knee jerk reaction to the ick factor by your average redneck. Canned and dried food is a different matter. If you are ordered to stay inside why on Earth would people with the means not ensure they have sufficient food and meds for the family?

The more they play this down, the worse the long term consequences will be. People are being left with long term lung and kidney damage from covid. Oh well, nothing I can do about it except try stay away from the lemmings.

Tell people not to leave their houses they will buy food and essentials in large quantities. I would and did.

If you are sick, stay home. If you go into a testing center and do not have the covid 19 virus, instead some other less vicious respiratory illness, you will catch it while there. There's nothing they can do anyway unless you are sick enough for hospital.

How can anyone be so lacking in critical thinking skills that they still support Trump?

If you don't have it, you will after lining up for hours for a test, and some nurse who has contact with many sick people shoving a q tip up your nose.

At least bury him with his comrades. He earned Japanese citizenship. I strongly condemn his actions, but I'm not about to stand in judgement of someone who was put in a situation I cannot comprehend. I pray he finds redemption through Jesus.

So in effect the can't go outside thing is useless. Work, school stores are still going to be full, as are streets with people making legit trips. They aren't going to be able to distinguish between person out for food and work from random out on the street. Rhetorical question, doggo, Google it.

He is returning after Tommy John, spring training cut short, and has some issues to iron out. Why does everyone want him to fail and so quick to write him off! His heater will be back.

@Desert Tortoise, I left Japan a while ago, I still have family there. I think the USA have a duty of care towards Japan, after insisting it's military was decimated post WW2. If they insist on leaving there should be assistance and reparations and a slow withdrawal, so Japan has time to build a military at a minimum. That said, it's crazy out here, Americans don't care about each other, let alone people in Japan. Stay safe!

Posted in: Do you think herd immunity in a country can curb the coronavirus? See in context

Herd immunity would work if everyone who caught it developed long term functional immunity. Some don't develop immunity at all. At best it's short term.

This facility is a start. Victims of male abuse and violence in Japan have very little practical support. I hope non Japanese mother's won't be turned away.
