There are 400 quakes a day in Japan, but a quake of Shindo 5 or higher is not a "common occurrence". If there was an article every time my office moved, yes I would agree with you. But I don't think this article being posted was overkill.

Pretty sure it was reported because it was a Low 5 on the Shindo scale, which is the beginning of significant quakes.
