Posted in: Not all or nothing: Anti-virus lockdowns could lift slowly See in context

For the millions of Americans living under some form of lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus, not knowing when the restrictions will end is a major source of anxiety. Will life events — weddings, funerals, even just simple nights out with friends — be delayed for a few weeks, a few months or much longer?

Not knowing when the restrictions will end? Sure we do - our stable genius, all-seeing, omnipotent President said "poof" - I hereby declare the end of the virus by Easter.... And so it will be....

Of course, Dr Fauci said not so fast...but who is he, just a world renown epidemiologist...

Get ready for that Trump rally on Easter weekend everyone - Trump handkerchiefs will be sold at the entrance...if you have a cough...

Well, we've been treated to a whole litany of Trump and Repub hypocrisy over these past few weeks...

First these radical socialist-hating Repubs pass the largest government socialist bailout in our country's history...

Now they champion GM producing ventilators - when if was up to them in 2008 there wouldn't even be a GM today...as they opposed any government bailout (then)...

Hypocrisy - thy name is Republican...

Trump's outright lies and falsehoods - in his own words;

“Anybody that needs a test gets a test.”

“Within a couple of days [the number of positive cases is] going to be down to close to zero.”

“This is their new hoax.”

“Nobody could have ever seen something like this coming.”

"We’re very close to a vaccine."

“The cure can’t be worse than the problem.”

“I don’t take any responsibility at all.”

The largest socialist bailout in history, brought to you by the socialist-hating Trump and Repubs...

It would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic...

Which is why you want the country to go back to work otherwise socialists have nothing to gather from the people. Can’t steal it if you ain’t got nothing to give.

Welcome to the world of the Pro-Trump Socialists! The Dems are nothing but radical socialists- and so are we!

Free government money for everyone! Bailouts for every sector, but especially big business and Wall St! Blow the budget sky-high!

And just to show what blatant hypocrites they really are, they were criticizing the Dems calling them "radical socialists" because they wouldn't help pass the Repub sponsored largest socialist bailout in our history...

Try to wrap your head around that one...it helps if you put on your MAGA-vision googles first...so you can bend reality...

Nope, just grew up with a family that liked collecting guns and go out and shooting them in the dessert and later took classes.

Then you're not qualified to "take a load" off the police.

they're scared and feel weak and hopeless

That’s, libs can put whatever labels they like, I feel the exact same way about them, weak, hopeless and toothless policies.

They're your words - you said you own guns because you're scared of "looters"...

You're not trained to take a load off the police - just ask them. They consider you more of a threat.

No, I’m trained and I have every right in my state to protect myself, my property and my family

Graduate from a Police Academy? Maybe FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center)? If not, you're not trained.

With the exception of real gun enthusiasts, most people in the US own guns because they're scared and feel powerless...they think guns give them power.

Some people might think like that, most don’t and whatever the reason, it really doesn’t, what matters is that we have the 2nd amendment and proud to honor it and keep it and we have a lot of liberals that hate Trump, but love the 2nd amendment, so either way and in this situation, we will do what we need to do to protect what we have in the event things get out of hand and people start to loot.

See, they're scared and feel weak and hopeless - and think a gun will make them powerful.

Of course gun stores are essential - they're essential if you're over-50, insecure, weak-willed, easily scared, prone to conspiracy theories, and watch nothing but the fear-mongering far-right media...

They need their guns to protect themselves from the government, which in this case is their Sainted President, and to protect themselves from Bob and June next door who were over for barbecue last week but will be crazed nuts stealing food and water next week...

The number of U.S. coronavirus infections climbed above 82,000 on Thursday, surpassing the national tallies of China and Italy, as New York, New Orleans and other hot spots faced a surge in hospitalizations and looming shortages of supplies, staff and sick beds.

Yep, that virus sure was "contained" wasn't it?

With medical facilities running low on ventilators and protective masks and hampered by limited diagnostic testing capacity, the U.S. death toll from COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the virus, rose beyond 1,200.

And the US was certainly "the most prepared", right?

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/07/politics/fact-check-white-house-coronavirus-contained/index.html

Amazing how States like California and NY have some of the richest people In the country and then have some of the highest poverty and homelessness in these States. Cuomo and Newsom praise the President even though a lot of their policies put a lot of lives in danger.

Hmm, didn't I see this poster urging us to "come together" the other day? Another flip-flop...

Well, let's look at the US states with the highest poverty rates;

Arkansas - Repub Governor

West Virginia - Repub Governor

Mississippi - Repub Governor

Talk about putting people's lives in danger...its these Repub Governors and their incompetent Repub President...

Vote them all out in Nov...

Posted in: U.S. Senate races to agree on massive coronavirus relief package See in context

But not like in the bluest and richest of where ironically the outbreaks are the highest and with all the wealth that these two States have, this shouldn’t be happening on the scale that it has been. But when you have large clusters of people and particularly homeless congregating in mass numbers, something bad will eventually happen. This is why so many people are leaving, Democrats take more, the party of heavy taxes, robbing Paul to give to Peter and the people namely the middle class have had it, this is what income redistribution does and the reason for the exodus out of these States.

And more purely partisan, fantasy-land conspiracy theories - now its the "homeless" that are causing the virus to spread.

Gee, maybe it's the President and his State TV network Fox News telling their mostly over 50 year-old viewers that its all a "hoax" and to "go to work".

Trump was briefed in Jan by both the Intel agencies and the CDC experts on the dangers of Corona - and worried about what it would do to his re-election chances, deliberately ignored it.

Americans are paying the price in the 401Ks and with their health...

He can claim no responsibility all he wants - everyone knows this is all on him.

In a press conference Friday outlining several new actions the U.S. government is taking during the new coronavirus spread, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, the leader of the State Department, took the lectern. "Or as they like to call it, the Deep State Department," Trump said before Pompeo stepped up.

Someone needs to tell the President we have a pandemic that has so far killed 150 people and has locked down three states. And that our State Dept is spearheading coordination with other countries to fight the virus. Save us more conspiracy theories and failed jokes...

Pompeo, who tends to agree with Trump's far-right tendencies, seemed to take no issue with the term that connotes the U.S. government is actually run by shady political forces behind the scenes. But Dr. Anthony Fauci, Trump's top coronavirus adviser, rejected his own advice and put his head in his hand after the president threw out the comment.

We know Dr Fauci, we all think he is an Idiot and a danger to the country...

So why isn't Trump listening to him?  Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease researcher, escalated his tone regarding the novel coronavirus outbreak during a congressional hearing Wednesday, suggesting that large gatherings across the country should be cancelled.

So explain why Trump's is still conducting his rallies?

Because Trump has the right to say his opinion, he has that right as an American. I personally wouldn’t go, that’s my decision and I think even if he were to hold one, it’s on you as a responsible adult to make that decision whether you want to go or not, I wouldn’t and that’s my choice. I don’t think he should hold a rally and as far as I know he’s not. As I have said many times, focus on what Dr. Fauci says and listen less to the msm, liberals in Washington and even the President. No need to panic.

Dodge - this issue is not about what Trump says, it's about what he does - he is flagrantly disregarding the advice of his chief medical expert in continuing to hold is rallies - someone you said is "the only medical expert that everyone should listen to"...

OK, so why isn't Trump listening to him?
