Posted in: A little English and big heart go a long way for Moe Oshikiri See in context

I think Moe is a good role-model for Japanese people. A whole lot more than what I can say for some western models...

Posted in: Olivia Newton-John See in context

this photo makes her look smooth and what, but I saw her on TV recently, and she looked as old as my mum ( turning 60 this year )- wouldnt surprise me if she hasnt had surgery and has just got some good make-up. She is a beautiful woman, and her wrinkles look great :)

Japan today is a Japanese website so if locations are outside of Japan, I think is appropriate that you mention the COUNTRY.

Posted in: In Japan, you are what your blood type is See in context

Its annoying when people try to guess my blood type - they have a one if four chance to begin with/plus I think its a load of cr@p. I cant believe the money spent on the books on this topic...

Posted in: Local groups try to combat the rise of HIV infection in Japan See in context

RMs - My mum talked to my sister and I about 'stuff' and I had books at home like 'Where did I come from?', 'What's happening to me?', 'Everygirl'... so that those questions we didnt feel comfortable asking or talking about with her, we could read up about by ourselves... What happens here?? Just asked hubby... parents didnt talk to him about anything to do with puberty and sex. He learnt everything from the schoolyard... FRIGHTENING!!

Posted in: Local groups try to combat the rise of HIV infection in Japan See in context

Some Japanese friends of mine said that they dont ask guys to wear condoms - whereas friends from home demand it! And some carry their own. I think Japanese need more education on PERSONAL HEALTH - A Japanese friend of mine thought that girls pee from their vagina - she had no idea but was a very 'itelligent' private university student. made me worry lots...

Posted in: Boy in hospital after games in sand go wrong See in context

It wasnt a sand pit. It was firm sand under horizontal bars in the elementary school playground. They dug a big hole - wide enough for a few kids to sit in and the 'mates' covered them in sand... I hope the boy recovers.

Posted in: Obama lookalike comedian Nocchi hones his routine See in context

I watched the program when he 'met' Obama and it ACTUALLY went like this;

Obama was shaking hands with random people in the crowd...

Nocchi said; 'I'm Obama'

Obama giggled and said, 'oh, you're Obama!' like he was repeating him.

Obama's reaction was all smiles, but he certainly didnt point this guy out in the crowd and say 'You're Obama!'.

This was on TV just this week...

Posted in: Should sex education be taught in schools? See in context

Definately. Sex education should be taught by parents and schools. I think a sex education teacher should be brought in to teach these lessons. So that the information is up to date and done in a proper manner. I had sex ed at high school. My mum taught my sister and I lots of stuff at home, but there are some things that are easier to ask a sex ed teacher!

Death in custody - there will be lots of tax payers money spent on finding out how this happened. but Im guessing its less than putting him throught the legal system and then in jail ( if found guilty ).
