I remember there was a break-in in the shop below my building. I heard the breaking of glass, and then I was watching the whole thing as the burglar went into the shop, was there for a few minutes (somehow the alarm didn't go off). Then the burglar shows up outside the store, a minute later a cab comes by and he gets into it... In the meantime I've secured the description of the robber and the cab and called the police. I'm still giggling from that ordeal years later.

I guess people carrying out maintenance should wear proper protection gear from now on. These kinds of deaths are kind of meaningless, they could have been averted.

Bees, if they smell something sweet on you like even just a sugary soda that you had earlier and the traces of it stick on your lips or chin, they often just won't leave you alone. Once I sat outside, then I spilt some soda on my outside table, and a bee came along and it wouldn't go away until I had cleaned away the spillage.

I went to see the recent Hollywood one, it was ok entertainment, but still somewhat underwhelming. But at least Godzilla in the reboot actually looked like the original and not some weird and spiky T-Rex like in the '98 version.

Personally I have no real relationship with the LOTR saga, I never got to read the book(s) as a kid. So didn't really bother with anything else but the first movie, which I found a bit long and contrived. Guess I'm not the fantasy kind of guy.
