Posted in: Robber breaks leg during hold-up; calls ambulance See in context
I remember there was a break-in in the shop below my building. I heard the breaking of glass, and then I was watching the whole thing as the burglar went into the shop, was there for a few minutes (somehow the alarm didn't go off). Then the burglar shows up outside the store, a minute later a cab comes by and he gets into it... In the meantime I've secured the description of the robber and the cab and called the police. I'm still giggling from that ordeal years later.

It's disgusting. Nobody should kill themselves, but if they're going to do it anyway, then for god's sake don't take 149 people with you as you do it...

I guess people carrying out maintenance should wear proper protection gear from now on. These kinds of deaths are kind of meaningless, they could have been averted.

Jeez, is that thing still ongoing? I saw some episodes of the anime 14-15 years ago when I was still interested in those sort of things, but it just seemed like another run-of-the-mill tedious figthing series.

How dignified of North Korea, just throwing her in a hole like that... Shameful people in that regime. Hopefully it doesn't last much longer.

I might get it, I haven't seen it since I watched some reruns of it back in the early 90s. Just for nostalgia.

Sure, technically advanced, but how impersonal. In the future, nobody will be talking to anyone. Each person will just wander around tapping their phone.

Bees, if they smell something sweet on you like even just a sugary soda that you had earlier and the traces of it stick on your lips or chin, they often just won't leave you alone. Once I sat outside, then I spilt some soda on my outside table, and a bee came along and it wouldn't go away until I had cleaned away the spillage.

I went to see the recent Hollywood one, it was ok entertainment, but still somewhat underwhelming. But at least Godzilla in the reboot actually looked like the original and not some weird and spiky T-Rex like in the '98 version.
