Posted in: When you were a teenager, did you think much about issues concerning the environment, such as climate change, pollution, recycling, energy and water conservation and so on? See in context

Yes, as a young lad considering a science career, I deeply considered the environment. And at that time I saw no strong link between human life and climate change. After many years of study and science degrees at University, I still see no strong link. The world climate has always changed and today it is slightly warming.

Last year the game left me behind. Woke MLB.

Moved All Star Game needlessly. Political wokeness.

Changed the rules to try and get more runs. Strikeouts with a few home runs occasionally sprinkled in.

Invoked the DH without asking fans.

Woke, changed long standing name of team.

Boring game; only home run, no strategy, no running, no throwing, no extra base running, etc. athletics not on display.

Beer at $10 for cheap light beer.

Gambling on games, gambling support TV.

Cheap advertising on uniforms.

Woke changed longtime historical name of team.

I cancelled all TV and do not read anything. I have given up.

Goodbye game I knew. Maybe someone will start a new league & government remove monopoly protection from current teams.

This is happening........ because MOST masks are only partly effective in preventing the spread of Omicron, which effects most people like a mild flu (or a cold) Stop wearing masks. Allow the quick spread and it will be OVER. Masks are only slowing the eventual spread. Consider this. ----- also, consider that this drawn-out spread of Covid may eventually result in a new variant, a deadlier variant.

Anybody ever consider that masks are ONLY slowing the EVENTUAL spread of a very contagious Omicron? If you are open minded and curious, only tightly, or properly fitted masks such as the N95 might give 100% protection. Most of the masks I see are poor imitation. Consider.

This is Japan. Japanese law. There is nothing that an Ambassador can do.

Japan, be forewarned, this is absolutely chilling. No foreign talent would consider coming to Japan to work. This is on Japan. A major loss for Japan's future growth. Between this and the border closures, Japan is returning to an earlier period in history. Very isolated from the world's advances.

Posted in: What’s the latest advice on the type of mask I should wear? See in context

Before I was vaccinated I always wore an N95 mask. Hand washing, proper clothing changes, etc. are a must. Single or even multiple layer simple cloth mask are generally ineffective. Now I never wear a mask. Also, do consider wearing a mask if your are obese or are diabetic. The American government generally does not tell anyone that the largest majority of folks having bad Covid-19 experiences have major risk factors.

Posted in: Taylor hits walk-off HR as Dodgers beat Cardinals 3-1 in wild-card See in context

A pitching duel between two quality athletes. The Cardinals had more than 10 chances to score a run, with a runner in "scoring position". They did not. Of course I am disappointed.

The Dodgers spent a lot of money to add great players to their team. The Cardinals being in a smaller business market, have less money to buy players. Throughout my life I have always enjoyed Major League Baseball. Not sure if I will continue to watch overpaid players vs small market, overpaid players.
