Its one of several steps to help protect the public. There are other things that can be done and additional steps that can be taken. Seems to me that better planning should have taken place. Single parents..., what do all the school workers do (teachers, cooks, maintenance, etc.), several other obvious areas that will be impacted by this decision. Not a bad decision, just better planning should have taken place.

Well, with 60% of climbers (300,000) voluntarily paying 1000Yen about ($10.oo US) , that's about 1.8 million dollars made by the Park during the climbing season just for admission to the climbing trail. That's a lot of money, and more than enough for the meager facilities and Huts (that make their own money to sustain their little huts), along the trail.
The climbing season is about late June to late Aug as I recall. Three months. I'm sure there is a company out there that could/would handle trail cleaning and maintenance for 1.8 million dollars from voluntary fee payments.
Sounds like just another way to squeeze money from the public. Sad.... but common here in Japan.

The Diamond Princess: Quarantined ship or virus incubator?
Obviously it is both. First it is already a Fact that it is a "Quarantined ship". It has been in that status already from the beginning of this sad event docked in Yokohama. Second, it is also obviously and "Incubator". TYhis is because just like a petrie dish in a laboratory, the people confined to the ship are serving kind of like the test medium in the dish. And sure enough, the longer they stay there together in the "petrie dish", the more people become infected with the virus.

" the Japanese see how the world will turn on them, they just turn around a jet from Korea in Israel"
Japan should learn from more civilised countries how to deal with this issue:
This is a very terrible event in the UK. That guy that attacked the lady is very lucky he was not in the USA. It is very likely/possible he would have been shot and held to the ground until the police arrived.

Goshn may be guilty of parts of the crimes but he could not have acted alone given the amounts of money involved over a the long time he is accused of doing this. While he deserves his day in court, Japan's unfair and unjust judicial system drove him to take these actions.
I have lived and worked in Japan more than twenty years in bilateral military and bilateral intelligence operations and can honestly say, Japan's judicial system is flawed and needs to elevate above the almost third-world state it operates in.
For example: The Japanese Police can arrest you and detail you for 14 days without actual proof/evidence of your wrongdoing in a crime. There are other examples but not worth my time typing out here.
If I were Goshn, I may have done the same thing knowing what I know about the Japanese Justice system and the methods/techniques they employ to get convictions. Sad

This is a good example of a Socialistic - Communist Government operations. Citizens have no real choice under the current system. It's a Government Scam!! Plain and simple! NHK needs to learn how to survive and prosper on its own in the Professional Broadcast environment Like all the other broadcast channels do.
But they are not at that level and must have TAX Payer funding to stay on the air.
This is one of the things that makes Japan look like its still a third world country with a Communist form of Government.
Shame on the Government!! Shame on

In the LONG run, Trump's plan will work for America!!

That guy is lucky he did these things in Japan. If he stopped a vehicle on the expressway in America and walked over and started punching someone through their car window he could easily been shot dead. And it would have been his own fault !!

Trump's Statement on Baltimore is true. Nothing racist about it. Go there and see for yourself (I have been there several times). If you don't have first hand knowledge, it would be better to not state things you cannot support with FACTS, and not your uninformed personal opinion.

Good move overall but there are times when U.S. only investigators/rescue personnel should be allowed into a crash site. Type of aircraft and its contents make a difference. If its only a cargo plane empty there should be no problem for early entry of fire, rescue, or routine police presents to protect the area until US personnel arrive.
On the other hand, if it's an intelligence aircraft none US persons should not be allow into the site without US permission and escort. Protection of special equipment may be a matter of National Security.
Also an aircraft that may be armed and crashes should be guarded but the crash site should not be entered by any personnel other than US specialist for safety reasons.
Basic Police, Fire and rescue/medical personnel should be allow i as soon as possible but specific "Accident Investigators should never be allowed in the crash site without US permission and US escort and supervision.
Far to often in accident events Japan's first priority seems always to be investigation for the perpose of placing blame and establishing groundwork for suing someone for damages and actual accident investigation for determining causes future prevention are further down the line in priorities. Sad but very true.

Until Japan opens its borders to illegal immigrants and asylum seekers, and the same torrent of people rushing to get into the USA, Japan should remain silent. Or should the U.S. and UN start pointing out the hypocrisy of many things in Japan.

Bernie will not make it. The MAJORITY of Americans do not want his Socialist ideas and will NOT accept the price we would have to pay for all the Free Stuff he wants to give. Also, we Americans by our very nature will never become socialist, communist, or some other failed government and certainly will not accept a government like China, nKorea, Russia, or even Japan or The UK.

Not enough clear evidence provided here. Who are the witnesses?? What Bar lamp cost that much?? SOunds very fishy to me. However, the Japanese legal/law enforcement system (Note I don't call it a Justice System), is very different than in the USA. In may cases it's very unfair and well behind other modern countries. Japan does not have a Bill of rights like in the USA and being held without charges for 10 to 14 days is very common.

Stupid act by S Korea, and they know better.
these things happen sometimes (unfortunately), mostly at the tactical level and lower.
Both sides routinely patrol these areas and know each other are there.

Not a bad law. If you are a male and want to become a female, then lose that penis.
Then penal transplants from the men that gave up their penis can help women that want to be men make the transition.

As a former member of the National Intel community I see all these post and read most of them to try to understand the opposition to Trump pulling the Security Clerance. After reviewing most of these post it is very clear that most (90%), do NOT know or understand what it required to gain a clearance, the different levels of clearances and Compartments and Special Access Programs. Terms of possessing/maintaining a clearance and non-disclosure agreements that go along with all of that. So most of what you read here is immature or misinformed dribble written by people that just don’t like Trump or like Trump but just don’t understand authorities in the Presidential position. In actual practice, once a person leaves a position that requires a clearance, they no longer have a need to access highly classified information so therefore their clearance is withdrawn as a normal part of leaving a position or job. It has long been a professional curtesy (not a rightful entitlement), that some persons that occupied certain key positions (like the CIA director), Were ALLOWED to maintain their clearances for possible recall for advice or exchange of opinions on some issues based on classified information. This is allowed for the convenience of the Government and is NOT a right of the individual or some entitlement earn by the individual! So, most of these post are made by people that don’t know what they are talking about.

It’s becoming pretty clear with emerging facts than the Obama Admin was really very crooked and embroiled in several scams against the American people. Like your Doctor? Like your Heath Insurance Provider?.... etc. many many lies!. The same with Hillary. Lies upon Lies, for their personal benefit. The more that’s uncovered the more I hope Hillary and many others will go to court

Its really all about having enough people to sustain the Government Tax base (salaries). Less people to Tax equals less money for government to spend.

The true zeal for gun rights is sorely underestimated. The U.S. 2nd Amendment guarantees citizens RIGHT to keep and bear arms. While there is a lot of "noise" about changing the amendment and enacting stricter gun control laws, there is no serious threat (at the moment) of any significant changes.
In fact, readers can be assured that if the U.S. Government attempt to further infringe on American Citizens Right (with regard to the 2nd Amendment), it could very well start a civil war in the U.S., and fortunately, the government will loose due to the shear number of law abiding citizens that own guns and will not give them up.
The vast majority of the police forces in U.S. States and the majority of the U.S. Military believe in the Constitutional 2nd Amendment and will not enforce any law that might attempt to disarm our citizens.
So, for now, there will be no gun confiscation or significant laws that might curtail gun ownership. This is as it should be. Most educated and mature U.S. citizens know history and have seen how in many governments across the world, after citizens lose their right to keep arms, its a FACT that most cases there winds up being a dictatorship or very oppressive government emerge. Just look at Germany (prior to WWII), the USSR and now Russia, China and it history and many others.
Even the Australian folks regret that the Government was allowed to enact "Gun Safety Laws" and "Buy-Back" programs that finally lead to disarmament of its law abiding citizens and they are suffering the consequences as now truly, only criminals have guns and citizens are now at there mercy. Shame on the Government for tricking its people!
This will not happen in the USA.
