This is hurting the US, the world see it for what it is. Can send bombs but cannot negotiate sending flower/aid across the border.

Current system is not fit for purpose. 1 country can veto the will of the majority.

I find the whole thing uterly repulsive. History will not judge the West well this. Is double standards, shocking that our elected leaders turn a blind eye. In the long term (has already happened), will just have less faith the people who are supposed to govern on our behalf.

She is vulnerable, has her own struggles with mental health, is honest and open about it. Does not try to project an air of invincibility or arrogance nay top athletes. I thing all things given, is a good choice, a role model. Japan society can certainly do with its OK not to be OK.

Ultimately she is free to do what she wants. She has accepted the fine. In todays world for the very top athletes, the media needs her not the other way round .

Sad, sadder still the compassion shown for a young man taking his life.
