That's a good news, I hope that guy would shed some light to anyone to China to fix their moral damage that the communists did to them since years ago. And I think that guy would give a chance for any Japanese and Chinese to fix their relationship with each another.

Because Japanese politicians still have the two habits that annoyed the people in Korea and China, such as:
Going to the Yasukuni shrine for every year. There are war criminals who committed war crimes in Korea, China, and the other Asian countries who are buried inside the Yasukuni shrine.
Denying the war crimes that the Japanese military committed. To anyone who still don't know why Japanese politicians deny the war crimes, here is answer:
It’s all could be traced back from what happened after the WW2 and the American occupation of Japan. After Japan surrended to the US, the US occupied Japan for a while. Although Japan surrended to the US, but there were still Japanese (specifically Japanese ultra-nationalists) who rebelled against the US. Then, when the US occupied Japan after the war, MacArthur told the Japanese to stop rebelling against the US or otherwise the Emperor would be killed and punished as a war criminal. Then, the Japanese politicians decided to deny the war crimes in order to avoid the Emperor of being killed and punished as a war criminal.
Afterwards, the Japanese politicians keep spreading the war crime denials into the citizens so the citizens would forget about what happened during the war for the sake of safeguarding the Emperor from being punished and accused as the war criminal.
Another reason why the Japanese still deny the war crimes is because the Japanese don’t want to know that their Emperor was actually the war criminal who planned the aggression into the other Asian countries. The Japanese don’t want to know that their Emperor was a war criminal because the Japanese still have this deeply-rooted view about the Emperor as being the personification of the Sun God. So, in the sense that Japanese deny the war crimes for the sake of saving the Emperor’s face as being the personification of the Sun God from the war criminal punishment and accusation.
If anyone don't know why Taiwanese like Japan and Koreans hate Japan although both places are colonized by Japan, here's the answer:
Taiwanese like Japan is because the Taiwanese feel that they are economically benefitted by the Japanese during the Japanese colonization of Taiwan period. The Japanese hired the Taiwanese to work in Japanese business and Japanese industry during the colonization of Taiwan period. The reason why the Japanese hired the Taiwanese work for them in their business and industry during the colonization of Taiwan period is because the Japanese wanted to gain more profits in Taiwan without being rebelled by the Taiwanese.
While Koreans hate Japan is because the Japanese killed the Korean royalty members when the Japanese arrived at Korea. The Korean royalty members were killed by the Japanese because the Korean royalty members didn't want to kowtow to the Japanese. Then, after the Koreans found out that their royalty members got killed by the Japanese, the Koreans rebelled against the Japanese. The Koreans throughout the Japanese colonization of Korea never stopped rebelling against the Japanese, as the result the Japanese suppressed the Koreans to stop the Koreans from rebelling against the Japanese. And the Koreans also hate the Japanese because the Japanese kidnapped several of the Korean pottery artists which caused the porcelain production decline in Korea.

Tokyo
Although I find Tokyo to be extremely modern, clean, safe, and orderly city but Tokyo is overrated to me. I don't like the crowds there and the buildings tend to look crumpled with one another. The skyscrapers also look rather bland, I like New York's and Hong Kong's skyscrapers better. Then, the most disturbing sight of Tokyo is the electricity poles there. However the most decently rated things about Tokyo are the food, the culture scene, and the people.

Japanese still make really good products. Here in where I live, I still see a lot people drive Japanese cars (Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Nissan, etc.) more than American or Korean or European cars. Japanese heavy equipments (Komatsu, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, etc.) are still used for construction projects. Japanese household appliances still exist in the market (although nowhere as abundant as when I was younger). Japanese stationeries (Pentel, Sakura Color Corporation, Pilot, etc.) are still in high demand. Japanese cameras (Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc.) still sell well. Japanese food items and snacks still sell well (although Korean food items and snacks are abundant too nowadays). Japanese machineries are still in demand (alongside with German machineries, although Chinese machineries are also getting more demands lately).

Because of the US occupation of Japan, Japan was occupied by the US after the war under the work by General MacArthur. General MacArthur was assigned by the US government to occupy Japan. When the US occupied Japan, the US introduced democracy into Japan, rebuilt the Japanese economy, and revitalized the Japanese industry. Many Japanese are quite grateful with the US occupation policies to introduce democracy into Japan, rebuilt Japanese economy, and revitalized the Japanese industry. The reason of why the US occupied Japan after the war because the US wanted to avoid communism in Asia and the US wanted to gain more allies in Asia. Due to the US occupation into Japan, the Japanese don't hate the US anymore and the Japanese feel they owed a lot things to US, although the US ever bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Whereas the reason of why the Chinese still dislike the Japanese is because there are still some Japanese politicians who deny the war. There is an article from the BBC about a Japanese politician who denies the war, the politician name is Toshio Tamogami, the article can be seen on bellow:
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-33754932
Here are Toshio Tamogami's quotes about the war from the BBC article:
"As a defeated nation we only teach the history forced on us by the victors," he says. "To be an independent nation again we must move away from the history imposed on us. We should take back our true history that we can be proud of."
Mr Tamogami believes that Japan did not invade the Korean Peninsula, but rather "invested in Korea and also in Taiwan and Manchuria".
"I can declare that there was no Nanjing Massacre," he says, claiming there were "no eyewitnesses" of Japanese soldiers slaughtering Chinese civilians.
"If this is true, how many soldiers had to be mobilised to forcibly drag those women away? And those Korean men were just watching their women taken away by force? Were Korean men all cowards?"
And btw there are two interesting pages about why are there are still Japanese politicians who deny the war crime, the pages can be seen on bellow:
