Dan Andrews’ breathtaking arrogance coming home to roost. It was only on Tuesday that he was asserting that Victoria had the “best” hotel quarantine in Australia, it was so good that all the other states were copying his hotel quarantine (?). Despite the fact NSW is taking 3 times the amount of returned travellers that he is. Today he locks down the WHOLE of Victoria, for a few cases in Melbourne, escaped from his superior quarantine. And now says that he wants to stop Australian citizens returning (to Victoria) because of his govt’s complete and utter failure.
Tennis is still fine though. Too bad if you were getting married this weekend.

NSW is the best example of managing covid in Australia. No city wide lockdowns for a long time, despite being almost 4 times the size of WA and taking most of Australia’s quarantine arrivals. It’s now almost 3 weeks without any new cases. It’s kept its borders open to other states for most of the time too.
