Who in their right mind would want to be married to you?

You'll be surprised how many people fall/are in love with people who have committed heinous crimes.

Didn't a 26 year old marry Charles Manson in 2014? Or even the other day during John Lennon's death anniversary, I read that the killer and his wife are still married and get alone time once a year.

Something must be seriously seriously wrong with Trump and his thought process if he looks at Sidney Powell and sees a beacon of truth. Even she was too much for Tucker Carlson. What gives?

For a being a president that is supposedly fixated on "Law and Order" he seems to be pardoning a lot of crooks. What a joke.

The Trump administration and science do not belong in the same sentence.

I thought Trump learned about coronavirus after going to school. Not the type where you read books. Whatever that means.

Trump could dismiss the "fake news" by simply doing what he promised back in 2015 to release his tax returns.

Come on stable genius. Supposedly you have a great memory.

Posted in: Trump won't commit to peaceful transfer of power if he loses See in context

Of course he won't. He made a big deal when he lost the popular vote in 2016, despite winning the presidency, that it is given that he will do something crazy if he loses the election.

He has said so repeatedly that he thinks he is owned another term just because of the way he has been treated. If he ends up appointing a Justice and Republicans win the senate, the word "authoritarian" won't be enough to describe another 4 years of a Trump presidency.

The problem is, the father is dead. The kid admit killing him. What else is there to know?

There is plenty that needs be further investigated. Was it premeditated or self-defense? Was the father verbally/physically abusive that eventually led to this outcome?

Ideally having this information will determine the sentencing.

Posted in: AstraZeneca begins clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccine in Japan See in context

The quickest a safe vaccine has ever been developed was 4 years, and that was a one-off (for ebola).

Then please explain the vaccine for the H1N1 strain in 2009. Clinical trials began in the summer, results were overwhelmingly robust and the vaccine began being administered in October of the same year. I still remember, I was a senior in high school lining up to get the vaccine.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/2009-pandemic-timeline.html

Don't forget that there are multiple clinical trials for several vaccines being carried out simultaneously in a global effort. If the trial 3 phase proves successful, I'd say why not? I'm sure experts have carefully considered both short-term and long-term effects when coming up with the vaccine. Let the experts do their job.

Rushed to market without proper trials. Think I’ll pass

Did you bother reading the article? The headline itself says clinical trials are to begin in Japan.

Both phase 1 and 2 have shown promising results which is why the larger scale phase 3 is being conducted in several countries.

I appreciate Trump highly because he is dauntless and uncompromising to China

You mean that like that one time Bolton confessed that Trump was begging China to help him win reelection.

Or that one time that China granted 18 trademarks to Ivanka in 2 months.

But yea, tell me again how Trump is tough on China...whatever that means.

Posted in: Trump's coronavirus retweets spark claims of censorship See in context

I'm not a huge fan of censorship, especially when we're dealing with information that is vital to humanity.

However, this is not the case here. The video showed a group of doctors, including an orthopedic and ophthalmologist, make dubious and unsubstantiated claims. None of their findings have been published in a journal nor peer reviewed. So until, they go through the proper channels of publishing findings, their claims are close to worthless. Of course it would be peddled by Breitbart and Republicans. They have a distaste for credible facts and science.

Posted in: As virus surges, Trump under pressure to wear mask See in context

Only problem with that is you have some Democratic governors doing their best to keep their states' economies locked down in order to keep Trump from being re-elected.

California, one of the bluest states in the nation is doing its utmost best to avoid a second statewide lock down. They recently announced the closing of bars in some of the hardest hit counties, but that's way different than closing everything down. Newsom is calling for mandatory mask-wearing to avoid a second lock down that would further cripple its economy. Not every Democrat governor is trying to shoot themselves in the foot for political points. On the other hand, Trump cares more about ratings than American lives. The truth hurts.

3 years and no new wars

Wrong.

He's in an endless war with reality, to which he is losing.

No new wars would mean that he has been a successful diplomat. I beg to differ, he almost started a war with North Korea his first year, raised tensions in Syria, Iran. Luckily there are checks and balances.

He almost ignited a 2nd Civil War with his rhetoric and failed leadership. The guy is as incompetent as they come.
