So tragic, surely if you live in a 15th-floor apartment you would have a great sense of proving security for your children. Rip little one and may peace find this shattered family.

Weed is fine, like honestly Marijuana is seriously not that harmful for you at all, its just a plant, that exists naturally in the world, a medicinal herb if you will. I mean compared to the garbage and life-ruining stuff that is ectasy, cocaine and ever engineered substances, this is really not that harmful. It also provides people with illnesses and body aches with soothe and calms them down. It should be legalised for medicinal use and small amount of recreational use in all countries.

So tragic, it could have been prevented and in such a country where birthrates are so low and babies are important as well...

Very tragic, I think this ought to be an accident rather than a murder-suicide or the so called group suicide. Either way, very sad

Reiwa isn't actually very good, it doesn't give off a righteous vibe and energy like taisho大正 and the others have. Japan should quickly change reiwa to something else more macho, hopeful, and better sounding like 大和 or Daiwa. Meaning like big Japan or big harmony, it just sounds like a much cooler name in general. Reiwa has a sense of oppression and heavy tone to it

Posted in: Japan to redesign banknotes in 2024 See in context

To be honest, the designs look alright, they have good and bad attributes. First of all it looks very unfinished and early in the prototype stages, the people look like they were terribly photoshopped onto the notes. Next, change the man on the 10000 note, he looks brain dead and utterly expressionless, which is not a good thing for such an already emotionless country. Change it to someone with more emotion, someone of greater significance to Japan, someone with no debatable controversial actions, someone with honor, pride and self confidence, things every Japanese man these days lack. I think the great wave off kanagawa is a great addition thought, finally we will be able to see this Japanese Mona Lisa be on something as significant as money. However wisteria really needs to be changed to Sakura, I don't know what the designers were going with that one.

Posted in: Pervert trigger-happy anime vigilante becomes poster boy for Osaka police recruitment campaign See in context

Stop fear mongering. If you've never watched the anime, it is about a dude who loves women who is actually, despite everyone's first impression, a tactical hero and a big man. He sacrifices everything to protect people and uphold the law. It's a pretty message to be honest. For the Japanese to become big, upstanding people who uphold justice. The pervert and gun trigger parts are just for comedy reasons in the anime, nothing else
