Posted in: Food allergies among Japanese school kids up 1.8 points from fiscal 2013 See in context

@gcFd1

Studies out there that are easily accessible show the link.

What studies are you talking about? everything I find says precisely the opposite.

It is extremely irresponsible and misleading to say vaccines produce allergies,

I would not be surprised if copy-cat killers begin to appear from now, sometimes criminals do much more difficult things to get their hands on weapons just to kill some random person.

I think it is sad how the organizers think is fine to throw away the tradition with such money grab.

Posted in: As companies are now fighting over human resources amid an economic recovery from the pandemic, they have started to recruit people from a wider age range. See in context

As long as salaries and benefits are adequate, a friend of mine got a few offerings to switch jobs after registering with an agent, but all were for positions of responsibility with entry level salaries, at least in his experience companies are trying to get people that already know the job and can deliver but paying as if they were just coming out of school.

If there is a more obvious way to say he don't understand the meaning of child care leaves and why it is necessary I don't know what would be.

What is next? support for party goods and pleasure trips during leaves for bereavement?

Posted in: Is Japan closing in on herd immunity? See in context

@Eastman

Do you have any references of the few simple facts you wrote? because they run completely against what doctors and scientists say about COVID and vaccines.

I am specially interested in your claim that mRNA vaccines against COVID decrease the immunity because this is a part of the work I do and I have found no evidence of this. The only thing I found about it is a terribly bad movie about supposed young people dying because of the vaccines and clots but without offering any actual proof this is happening.

Posted in: Nagasaki man lifts his apartment toilet lid to find terrifying surprise inside See in context

Once in Nagasaki I found a snake in the toilet as well, a tiny one coming up from a window and that was easily convinced to go back outside with the help of a newspaper. That was stressing enough for the time I stayed in that room, can't imagine how would I react with a full grown one.

It is always interesting to try parts from other cultures, cooking is something very unique that can help familiarizing people to how other people live.

Posted in: Slow pace for youngest kids getting COVID vaccine doses in U.S. See in context

Nothing dubious or unsafe about the vaccines, and every nurse in the hospitals I work with have already vaccinated their children. The real risk comes from COVID, not from the vaccines.

Anybody that rejects the advice of their doctor with the phrase "my child, my choice" is in company of parents that reject life saving blood transfusions, antibiotics, nutrition or surgeries for them using exactly the same phrase.

Posted in: Single HPV shot enough for young women: WHO experts See in context

What is this nonsense about discrimination in the comments? HPV kills more women than men, so if you don't have enough vaccines for everybody girls come first. The vaccine has already proved to reduce deaths on women, if one dose does this effectively there is no point in wasting more doses to get the same result.

It is not like it is a scientific report but I guess that is what kids think these days, girls do not want to have flower shops to tend funerals.

Terrible story to read, can't believe people taking care of children could have so little care, anything that can mean a child may lost their lives merits a couple of extra checks, it doesn't even takes that much time.

Posted in: Australia battles spread of Japanese encephalitis See in context

Wait until mosquitos can overwinter in Honshu and you will see a real epidemic of vector borne diseases in Japan, not only Japanese encephalitis (young people are not being vaccinated against it anymore), but many other as well. Australia is just a warning about what is to come because of climate change.

On the other hand, trying to blame this on COVID vaccines? really? that is desperate even for antivaxxers, ONE case of encephalitis do not explain an outbreak of the very different syndrome of encephalitis, you need to be totally ignorant about medicine to pretend they are related.

I was just reading about something related on pets and infectious diseases, it is incredible how much can be found out about common diseases by trying to treat animals. It is not surprising that many researchers on human diseases have also veterinary degrees.

Posted in: Study offers reassurance on COVID shots, women's periods See in context

I guess stereotypes are born from a reason, but it had to be men overreacting and making such a fuzz over a delay of a period. There are many women that never have a regular period, others that get a delay if they drink one extra cup of coffee in the morning. Making this normal thing an argument is just proving once again that men ignore even basic women health.
