The is no panacea for economy, the sustainable solution is hardworking and innovation, especially for Japan with limited natural resources.

However, the Japanese are already the most hard-working people in the world, the only solution available is innovation.

Only innovation can keep japan ahead of the world, otherwise, it's impossible for Japan to win the competition of sweating workshop against China.

Unfortunately, we find no groundbreaking innovation in Japan in recent year, but China have successfully copied the technology of high-speed train and nuclear reactor, which is the core of old innovation 20years ago of Japan.

I'm not sure if people not paying close attention to what's been happening in Japan are familiar with just how stupid the underlying rationale behind Abe's economic policies has been, so here it is in a nutshell: Abe figured that chronic deflation was inhibiting Japanese consumers from spending their money, since they figured that they could keep on waiting to buy stuff as prices kept going down.

Abe's solution? Coerce consumers into spending now rather than later by forcing inflation targeting upon them. Make Japanese think they had to go out and buy stuff now before it got expensive later. The consumption tax increase---a regressive measure that hurts ordinary people far more than elites, as anybody who is not a multi-millionaire will tell you--was also a bad idea, but not nearly as jaw-droppingly dumb as the idea that forced inflation would compel Japanese to spend their money.

Japan is at a dead end. Abe is a nationalist ideologue who cares little about economics. He's more worried about his next visit to Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo. His "Abenomics" plan was, more than anything else, about revitalizing Japan to make it better prepared for confrontations with China. That strategy is finished. China's leaders, already filled with feelings of enormous contempt for Japan's blinkered, nepotistic, and sclerotic ruling class of politicians and bureaucrats, now have every reason to view Shinzo Abe and his supporters as nothing more than a bunch of clueless dunderheads who have thrown Japan back into a perfectly avoidable recession.

Japanese businessman are much wiser than Japanese politician, China will replace United Stated to be the number one in GDP around 2024, and 3 times of United States around 2050, this is epic change over last 100 years, if Japan's politician like Abe continue to bury his head into the sand, it will bring doomed future for Japanese as a whole.

if you are stayed in China recently, you will find overwhelming advertisement from Japanese Car manufacturers to woo the potential customers, which will account for 50% of global car market around year 2020.

The lessons for China: if you reject to reform, reject to catch up the world, you will be defeated, conquered by other advance countries.

The lessons for Japan, you should know the limits of your power, your military victory is built on the chaos of the world, if Japan empire were just dedicated on China, or Manchuria only, I think Japanese could be the next Mongol.

United States have learned lessons from Mideast that onetime ally can be a bitter enemy in the future, Saddam Hussein ever was a staunch ally of United States to resist the Iran influence in Gulf region.

But when Saddam Hussein have bigger stomach, and the united states can not feed him, he will turn one' gun and shoot the one who feed him.

So, what's the turning point? the backdown and showdown will dangerously stimulated when the day of Fiasco of Abenomics.

The Abenomics will 100% become a Fiasco, the desperate leader of Japanese then will face two roads ahead, backdown or showdown.

As I have commented before, Japan can continue stand out in Asia by structure reform, but this job will erode the vested interest of enterprise and government, such as introduce woman as leadership will certainly boycotted by man-controlled board.

Creation and innovation is also critical for Japan to win on the crowded world, resources will become more and more scarce, China, India and other growing countries will scavenge the Earth by bloated wealth, so, Japan will find it's much harder to obtain necessary resources as before.

In that case, creation and innovation is really a surviving tools in the competitive jungles.

From my point of view, if Abe continues his road and reject to back down on island dispute , the military showdown is inevitable ahead of next 20 years.

So, lets prepare the worst scenario to happen, there is only one dominator in history of East Asia, as an old saying goes:" one mountain can not hold two tigers".

that's like old Britain and new American fight for new empire hundred years ago.

If Japan still want to stand out in Asian as before, the correct direction is to conduct structure reform, creation and technology upgrade.

Currency depreciation, inflation can only transfer the wealth, it can't create wealth.

The power struggle between East and West Asian AFC is lasted decades long, I think the FIFA should split this region into two organizations, there is no common interests but to fight each other.

By the way, the next president of China is a Football fan, the anti-corruption storm is initiated by this leader, so, we should be optimistic for China's Football League.

The humane being is a very small creature in the universe, there are vast area we don't know or just know little, so, there is no absolute thing in the world.

Well, the CCP do not follow up the core values of humanity, but it doesn't mean they will not change, they will not reform, so if you expect the war inside China is ridiculous.

if you study the leadership of CCP, you can find most of their children are educated in United States, so, they know the trend, and they are prepared.

Happy new year! I partly agree with you, and i would like to remind you that the democracy can bring justice, but the democracy cann't bring food, efficiency and prosperity.

That's why the Arab Spring can only change Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, but it cann't sway Saudi Arabia, UAE and China.

You need find the difference between those two blocs. this is very critical to overrule your claim that there will be a war inside China.

From my thinking, the territory disputes cann't be solved by mouths, only power talks, who own the bigger power, who will win and take it away, the loser have no choice but scrounch into a corner.

Oh, this issue is harassing and without end for dispute, the only solution is a duel between two countrys, the winner take all.

Historically, Okinawa are also owned by Qing Dynasty, when Qing is defeated by Japan, Okinawa is ceded to Japan, but after the World War II, the japan is surrendered, as treaty, Chiang Kai-shik will send troops to Japan to maintain peace like United States today, but, the civil war is bursted out in China, Chiang Kai-shik had to give up this arrangements.

Otherwise, there is no tensions between China and Japan, since all the Okinawa is not under the Control of Japan now.

And China is a disparate country, the rich zone and the poor zone, the rich zone is well developed but affacted by the global crisis, since this zone are mainly export-oriented along the coastline.

But now, the poor zone are rise to catch up the rich zone, the poor zone will become the driving force for the continual rise of China, which will last for at least two decades.

So, even there are glaring social problems, the CCP will hold power for a longer time, even we young Chinese hate CCP, but we can't overthrow them to be deprived of wealth overnight.

But CCP is disgusting, it's very true, we don't like them, but we can't bring down them, the best solution is reform.

****Re: China will implode or explode soon!

As Chinese, we can tell you outrightly that it's impossible for China to implode or explode within 30years ahead.

The foundamental reason is that the CCP is not idiot, they have nearly finished the cover of social insurance to majority of populace, the majority are benefited from the reform from 1979, they are ascending from poverty to middle class, they will not risk of loss for all.
