Honesty in trade and manafacture is the only way to ensure your customers that your product is safe , reliable and dependable. Dishonesty causes doubt on what ever it is that you wish to market. It is not naive to expect these standards to enable the consumer to discern their choice of purchase. Whistle blowers, up to the present ruling, seem to have had very little protection when malpractice is brought to the attetion of their employers. So it is only my own oppinion when I consider , that if you want to survive in the current economic situation, that honesty is indeed the best policy

Honesty is the best policy, but, since Hamada won the case for his unfair domotion, perhaps it will be the only viable policy in the future

Anyone who was unaware of the exhibition will due to the ensueing publicity of the court case, be fully aware of it now. Nikon having agreed to the display initialy, may have been better advised to have stuck by their agreement. The publicity has also highlighted the threats towards Ahn and his family, who have attempted to discourage him,a particular nasty type of censorship. I admire the fact he has gone ahead with the exhibition despite the intimidation

This warning from the experts should be heeded. The goverment surely cannot ignore their advice. To proceed with the restarting of the reactors may be utter folly.Hopefully common sense will prevail

When there is a proven case for an assylum seeker at the border of any country, then the granting of sanctuary is the only humane decision.Australia does grant this for those with a valid application.and cause. Those that do not will no doubt be deported

Luckily most parents are able to visualise hazards in their home and take steps to ensure that they are counteracted. It is sad that this little ones parents failed on this.Little ones do climb,so a child lock that would have prevented the window from opening far enough for a child to climb through would have prevented the accident. The sofa close to the window was also a hazard, but I guess its too late to point out the safety precautions now. RIP little one

Cos, I do hope the UN does not think on your terms, besides ne car, no TV ect, would they also be telling me where I may be domicile. You can bet your life that Helen Clarke has a car, probabley not the small Micra type that I own, probable that she owns a TV ,and many other electronics. I will accept constructive criticsism, but the possibility of anyone dictating where I should live is a bridge too far.PS I do have a pony, maybe I could harness her to a trap

Living in the back of beyond in the middle of nowhere with no public transport, my car is not a luxury, its a nessassity. My television educates, entertains and allows me through a multitude of channels to avail of media information, giving me an understanding of occuranceis throughout the world. The car industry provides employment for both developed and emerging economies, as does the production of televisions, mobile phones, pc,s ect. Does it make sense to refrain from purchasing these products as a great deal of the manafacturing is outsourced to developing countries

I listened to the views of a cross section of the electorate prior to casting their votes on several different media channels. I was left with the impression that the majority of those interviewed would have preffered a wider choice of candidates. It is only my own oppinion, but, I feel that if Islamic religious laws are enforced by the new regime, it may not fare well for the female population

No worries about who I accept as friends, but thankyou for that advice.Still, it is only my own oppinion that I believe the same rules that are applied towards magazine and newspaper periodicals should also apply to my right to the name of any person who defames my character using the internet to do so. Libel is a published edition of untrue facts These untrue facts are not always posted to the intended recipicant, often they are sent to other web users.Of course I would not like truthfull oppinions to be cencored, though we dont always agree to other peoples comments, it is interesting reading other posters points of view. Thumb you down for what you believe in? never., so Johnyglitterball what we cannot agree on, let us beg to differ

Posted in: Internet 'trolls' face being named under new bill in Britain See in context

Just soppose for a moment that I,or any member of my family or friends on the internet media, became a target for a demented internet troll, would it make sense to know the name of the offender? These people remain a mask behind their current freedom of assumed identity. Fortunately, my friends online post warnings as to the name used by trolls who request a friendship invitation, that they have had adverse experiences with. If I or any of my fellow posters were to be libeled or stalked, should we not be enabled in that case to take a judicial redress against that offender. If a newspaper was to print untrue facts causing injury to a persons character, it is simple enough to sue. Why should the same standards not be adhered to with the social media.? Sadly there are the trolls who are not the friend of anyone on facebook or twitter, they exist only to abuse the use of free speech
