Posted in: Japan to include nuclear power in mid-term energy policy See in context

Even to consider nuclear power as a viable option as the people of Japan begin to awaken to the heath effects from Fukushima seems a calculated and cold hearted move by this administration. It seems, to those of us in the outside world, that Japan does not care for her citizens. NO nuclear is needed... develop renewable sustainable sources... they exist... get to work Japan!!! Stop feeding the nuclear beast your children.

tamanegiFEB. 05, 2012 - 08:45PM JST eeehh? but on december 16th?

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano issued the following statement: The IAEA welcomes the announcement by the Government of Japan that the reactors at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station have achieved a 'cold shutdown condition' and are in a stable state, and that the release of radioactive materials is under control."

People are under the MISTAKEN impression that the IAEA is for protection of people. That is absolutely not true. They were created for one purpose and one purpose only and they hold true to their purpose to this day, and that purpose is the PROMOTION of nuclear power, period. That is their mission. Of course that is what they said. But it is NOT true. The radiation is still coming out of Fukushima No. 1 in levels in the billions of bequerals per hours. Do not succumb to the lies of the industry nor of their protectors. This accident is not contained, it is not stopped, it is exactly the same only maybe worse now due to the ground water steadily being contaminated and the ocean. The cooling systems and the pools are leaking like sieves and the ocean is the container that is catching this brew. The fish in many areas are way above government limits of cesium, which are set too high to begin with. The radioactive steam continues to pour out of the site every second of every day and that is not going to stop anytime soon. Protect your children. Protect yourselves.

Sometimes when you think you have the flu it is actually an autoimmune issue...lethargy masquerading as the flu... What is happening right now that would cause extra immune deficiencies? Anyone?

Posted in: Radioactive cedar pollen detected in Fukushima See in context

Inhaled or ingested radiation provides a much longer DOSE than does external exposure. Once these particles are inhaled/ingested, they stay in the body, accumulating more as you consume/inhale more, and the damage IS cumulative. The cells that are TOUCHING and the ones that are NEAR the particle WILL MUTATE, that is scientific fact. Over time, cancers and gene mutations will become more prevalent. This disaster is ongoing. It has not been contained. It has not been stopped. It is STILL happening. Breathing this pollen certainly IS dangerous, especially to babies, children and pregnant women, but it is harmful to ALL who inhale/ingest it. To the poster who said they had more to worry about with pesticides and GMO from Monsanto, better think again. Those are harmful, but they are a birthday party at Disney World compared to radiation. Get the facts-look into it for yourself. Stop believing The Nuclear Machine and all its lies! Protect yourselves and your children through KNOWLEDGE before it is too late. And to the poster who said when it rains it pours? Yes, it does, and in this case? It is raining RADIATION...deadly RADIATION. Invisible RADIATION, that can AND WILL kill millions.

Waited long enough, huh? Did it slip their mind to search that area? Why now, almost 10 months later? Too little too late.

Posted in: Ex-chief of Fukushima nuclear plant has cancer: TEPCO See in context

95% of cancers caused by cigarettes are caused by the radioactive elements polonium and radioactive lead, which are being added to the tobacco fields as fertilizer to enhance flavor. So even if one smokes and gets cancer? It was STILL caused by radiation.

As for Yoshida, he has worked at a nuclear plant for years, where radioactive emissions of "acceptable" levels are allowed to go on day after day. That compounds within the body of the exposed individual and whala-cancer. Either way you look at it-RADIATION causes MOST cancers.
