Alot of work and skill goes into producing a sword, its nice to see that this tradition is kept. It is something I respect and admire.

Posted in: Germany urges Japan to deal honestly with WWII past See in context

Not sure why people here feel need to compare Germanys apology to Japans apology, what Germany done was far greater than the atrocities done by Japan. China and the republic of Korea don't want to accept Japans apology because it somehow suits them, this fued has existed before the world wars. I do think Abe was wrong to visit the shrine himself, he should have just sent someone low profile in his place. Him going to Yasukuni was unecessary, especially as he know it will add fuel to the conflict. Regarding apologies by Japan, I do feel they need to show they acknowledge what they done through education and stop high profile people going to Yasukuni shrine, so not to offend.(although it is their religious right if they wanted to)

Posted in: Girl rejected by boy she never actually met takes revenge See in context

Girls turned feral! The boys didn't have a chance, even if they did, they wouldn't coz most boys are taught not to hit women, even as self defense. I personally know how vicious girls can be at that age, I went to an all girls school, they are definitely capable of beating up boys, although they may not be stronger, they are better at fighting because of their brutality. Something tells me this girl who wanted revenge, is spoilt at home, otherwise she would know how to handle rejection.

Posted in: Depressing suicide prevention posters cause controversy in Kobe See in context

There is no way of sugar coating suicide, so of course these posters were going to be depressing. It has done its job, to get people thinking and talking about suicide. If it has stirred some feelings in people, then GOOD.

Posted in: Mother, employer of epileptic crane driver ordered to pay compensation over fatal accident See in context

People you can't say the man murdered the children, he did not intend or plan to kill them. His condition unfortunately caused their death, of course he should serve his time for knowing his condition could affect his ability to his job safely. I agree with most people here, I truly don't understand why the mother has to pay compensation.

Posted in: Theft of toilet from public park in Kyoto leaves authorities baffled See in context

I think the police need to let this one go, surely they must have more important cases to be getting on with. This is just a petty theft. Hard times, maybe can't afford a toilet.

Posted in: Woman puts skeletonised brother in trash after realizing he's dead See in context

Say if this was a case of hikikomori, how has this become acceptable? They should of told the poor buggar to get out of the house and start living. But seen as they put his remains in the rubbish, they obviously didn't care for him much. I don't know how they could be so apathetic towards their own brother, its saddening.

Posted in: Woman tries to kill son while husband, 3 kids sleep in same room See in context

This is a result of lack of communication with her husband and the struggle to look after four toddlers. People need to realise that its ok to say 'i can't cope'. At least the poor wee lad isn't dead.

For some people shame and embarrassment is a big deal and in Harada's case it lead to him killing himself. The police should have just told him that he was cleared of groping the woman. unecessary death
