Guess there's sensitivity to truth here, given global fragile nature of consumer lack of confidence!

Yep, Oppolds was legitimate pharma drug that became too profitable due to so many physicians prescribing. Like drug bubble fueling addiction, everyone making money. Sackler family just settled, cool $6billion.

High society drug dealing, medical community and big pharma but societal damage no different, just biz model.

World's true cesspool of unethical corruption, illicit drugs lowest of the low, no matter the biz model.

Drug cartels should be dealt with like terrorists, forget lawyers, just forceful justice. Have to go after supporting cast as well, as so many make seemingly nice acceptable living supporting these drug cartels. Amazing how well they've corrupted their support network.

The largest bull market of the century is coming to the USA in the next couple years

Big tech with unique data, serious upside new growth markets, but broader markets going nowhere fast.

You think US zero rate bubble will have no hangover? Most think otherwise, inflation's proving tough to kill, US Corp. bankruptcies increasing FAST right now, BEAR market dead ahead, we'll likely retest Oct lows in next yr.

Posted in: Asian stocks mixed as Wall Street inches toward bull market See in context

US indexes, being propped up by AI catalyst and big tech, meanwhile rates steadily rising as most companies struggling with tightening financial conditions and US Govt. floods bond market with new sovereign issuance.

If US economy so great, why are retail sales, not adjusted for inflation, falling? Labor market jobs number also mis-leading, as avg. hourly work dropped, jobs equivalent several times greater than the headline print.

Few predict US GDP growth greater 1% this year or next with MASSIVE Govt. Deficit Spending likely +6% of GDP = Private Sector Shrinking (5%) or more = Stagflation

Agreed, inflation & rising rates go hand in hand, symptoms of many problems, including excessive Govt. Spending and Central Banking balance sheet expansion.

But let's not forget other contributing factors, especially damage to labor markets due to Covid, damage to supply chains due to Covid, Ukraine Proxy War and expensive re-shoring due to China risk to name a few.

Business bankruptcies, industry consolidation and profiteering, excessive margins also in the mix and might as well kick in growth of entitlement spending due to aging demographics globally!

Seems new normal, Taiwan has no future, population and capital flight certainly speeding up, China just has to maintain this pressure, time will solve this issue in their favor.

Word's not always what we want, certainly prosperous Democracy in Taiwan far better but just not in the cards. Most of us aren't going to be starting NBA centers either!

Trumps favor legally, 6-3 Supreme Court, expect they'll be weighing in at some point.

Probably best if all jailhouse lawyers here defer to the SC's upcoming 'legal' judgments.

But let's see VP Kamala Harris has to say on this matter, as she's a lawyer, though she did need to re-take A Bar exam...so likely not the sharpest 'pencil'.

NATO trying to expand remind me very much of countries with and aging depopulation trying to slow the growth rate of fewer babies or possibly a few more babies. Why?

Nearly entire World\s mad at US led NATO & G-7 long-term & present global destabilization. Huge Global movement AWAY from US, NATO and G-7 in particular. They seek Stability based Member Partnerships, not military expansion or other destabilization.

China led BRICS has dozens of large leadership countries openly seeking to gain Membership now, because of US led Global Destabilization, especially NATO. All large Muslim majority, Central Asian, and many countries of Non-Muslim Global South.

Meanwhile, NATO\s big growth plan is tiny Sweden, NATO like country slowing down its collapse a tiny bit by having less severe drop in population, though trend firmly intact.

It all points at desperation. As Global technology culture creating all solutions, Govt. really just giant parasite now.

Certainly Govt. not able to innovate, let alone manage vendor IT tech. Rather than create more expensive regulation and risk, why not promote GROWTH strategies to Grow the Pie and TAX REVENUES?!

In case any are wondering, all these Big Brother Govt. initiatives do is act to destroy ability to Recruit or Retain talent across entire Economy = LOUSY OUTCOME

Ukraine destruction and failed state path continues as does fog of war. Exodus of Ukraine refugees picking up speed as economy, infrastructure and environment destroyed daily, while innocents suffer greatly.

Let's hope much needed peace and compromise can happen sooner rather than before it is too late. Surely more such man-made disasters will continue non-stop in the meanwhile, that's WAR after all.

This Govt. takeover mentality is cancer destroying the economy. There is no country that hopes Govt. will build a better more prosperous future.

Rather, countries need to spur investment and innovation that leads to gains in wealth and productivity. That's the magic. Just look at Dubai or Singapore? Govt. basically like an office manager, helping to enable greater output!

Consider absurd semi-conductor consortium or BOJ ETF purchases, simply put, Govt. taking the financial risk on behalf of feeble pathetic companies. You think such companies can attract serious TALENT? Think twice, nobody' talented working for Govt. controlled zombies.

Posted in: Japan supports Sweden's NATO membership See in context

NATO Membership for EU countries OK but must avoid dangerous destabilization of their Russian relations.

Sweden like Norway, small population, well-educated, wealthy with established mature Democracy unwilling to become major military Hub = Opposite of Ukraine.

Ukraine as very recent undeveloped Democracy eager to militarize, thus heavily influenced by outside interests, unlike Sweden. This dynamic, fed by Ukraine being poor, triggered Russian escalation - decades in the works.

Unclear why Japan's expressing any view on NATO or NATO Membership being so many times removed. Obviously, Sweden has Membership challenges with existing NATO Members, especially Turkey.

Finally, Sweden unlike Austria and Switzerland has now made a judgment to abandon its long-standing neutral status, probably because it directly borders Russia.

Proposed NATO liaison office could destroy Japan's ability to engage constructively with China led BRICS, now pursuing major Country Membership expansion Due to Endless US led NATO military destabilization across Africa, Mideast & Western Asia & Europe recent decades.

Macron realizes NATO has become unhinged, far from its original defensive alliance mission statement and has earned Toxic Global Reputation, especially now due to Ukraine proxy war, including inside France as well.

NATO!

Yes, why China so busy with BRICS Country Membership Recruitment Drive, People of World TIRED of constant US & US led NATO led Destabilization in all its forms.

Macron's correctly reading Global 'Tea Leaves', not only France's anti-war anti-NATO expansion, but also World BUSY seeking Stability & Partnership = Multi Polar/BRICS

Like Zverev's chances now to make the Final, seems he's on role again. Djoker Alcaraz, anybody's guess but oddsmakers today like Alcaraz about 2:1.

Worth pointing out today Djoker #1 for Wimbledon according to bookies, 1:1 odds with #2's Alcaraz at 6:1.

BRICS Membership based upon stability partnership model. OPPOSITE of US led G-7 & NATO destabilization.

Posted in: Gov't eyes labor market reform; focuses on AI, chips to drive growth See in context

Key to success in tech or really any industry but especially tech is private sector talent. Govt. simply needs to create financial incentives and regulations to spur private sector investment and activity.

There's NOBODY in Tech. that considers Govt. involvement in innovation to be helpful or relevant, rather VERY unhelpful and irrelevant.

Japan's Govt. in state of confusion & panic about its proper role. Govt. needs to spur private sector to hire & invest in these emerging tech. markets in order to innovate & compete globally. Private sectors do poorly if they partner directly with Govt., never works as talent, especially tech., HATES legacy Govt. interference.

Most anticipated match probably since Federer Djoker Wimbledon 2019.

Evening session gives Djoker better chance, only 2x he beat Nadal at RG, night session that slows down speed of play. Alcaraz and healthy Nadal prefer hot dry conditions to speed up shots, increase bounce etc.

Still betting markets favor Alcaraz, he's on roll, so young and fast, match will be true study in contrasting styles and experience. Expect it to go 5 sets and may be the better man win!
