World leadership has been woefully lacking for 3 1/2 years with the Biden/Harris administration.
How do you justify the conflicts going on in the world?
Russia invades the Ukraine, Hamas attacks Israel on its own soil, the Houthis attack commercial shipping in the Red Sea, China harasses the Philippines in the South China Sea, China harasses Taiwan over the Taiwan Strait, and North Korea launches rockets over the Sea of Japan.
Where's the leadership that was promised by the Biden/Harris administration?
Why have millions of migrants crossed illegally into our country?

Iran needs to retaliate. The assassination of the Hamas leader in their secured compound in city of Teheran is a humiliation they cannot ignore. Their people demand fitting revenge.
Unfortunately, the options are limited when it comes to retaliating. They must deliver a hard enough blow to Israel to declare victory, but at the same time avoid a counter attack by Israel.
Israel is a nation where if you hit me once, I will hit you twice. They believe in an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth plus an adder.

When all other clean options are taken into consideration, nuclear energy is a clear cut winner i.e. clean, robust, and reliable.
Three mile island, Chernoble, and Fukushima did happen but the world did not come to an end. Also, nuclear techonology has advanced and spent fuel rods can be reprocessed. No Yucca mountain required.
What's missing is the will.

"In a departure from Trump's first administration which ran from 2017 to 2021 and had "decent" people who saw a need to strengthen the Japan-U.S. alliance and U.S. defense posture in the Indo-Pacific region, Kotani believes "we would see weakening U.S. commitment to defending" Japan in a second term."
The "decent" people were leftovers from the Obama administration who were disloyal to Trump and had their own agenda.
WWII ended in 1945 and the occupation of Japan ended in April 28, 1952. The year is now 2023, why do we still have U.S. military stationed in Japan? Isn't it time that our allies defend their own countries.
