There is a very fine line between parent's being too involved in their children's lives and not being involved enough which in this case seems to stem from the latter.

Even if it wasn't a more serious disease you don't go out and spend time in public places, at that point you're just being rude. Dude needs to be taught some discipline.

I suppose I am confused as to why they don't just carry out the sentence for the majority of these death row inmates. As far as we know they are not providing information to help in an investigation or contributing to society, they are literally taking up space and resources that could go elsewhere.

This is just so sad. I don't know what Japan's support services are like, but I know there could've been a better solution than cutting the baby in half! How damaged does someone have to become to do something so dark?

I don't know what drives people to do such things, but if I had to make a guess I would attribute it to some form of inner turmoil caused perhaps by familial angst or emotional trauma. In any case, it would behoove law enforcement there to seek help for this woman, in addition to questioning.
