Okay. Enough is enough, who here with me wants to stage a protest against TEPCO's HQ here in Tokyo? I think we have the right as tax payers, paying for TEPCO's screw up.

Why are the executives still living the high life with huge salaries when they are requesting WE THE PEOPLE pay for their mistakes? This is just plain and simple stealing and we are letting it happen if they build this SCI-FI ice wall.

Anyone?

Posted in: Assistant professor arrested for filming up girl's skirt See in context

I think this has something to do with the sick sexualization of little kids in this country. As a user pointed out previously on an another article, they actually have a magazine that features underaged children in panties....available for everyone's convience at 7/11, Lawson, Daily Yamazaki etc.

They (the government) needs to get to the root of the problem and ban any sexually suggestive content directed at children.... Sadly Japan has a huge crowd of fans... Most likely even in the government that enjoys good old underaged softcore.

As for this professor, he should be banned from being in the education field for the rest of his working life, be forced to register as a sexual offender, as well as do time (maybe 2 years with a rehabilitation program).

Posted in: American becomes Japan's first salaried foreign ninja See in context

O’Neill will work alongside six Japanese colleagues, including five men and one woman.

Aichi Prefecture in central Japan had been seeking six full-time ninja—the covert martial arts masters and agents of sabotage who prowled the shadows in feudal times—and in a job posting last month said candidates of any nationality were welcome. Of the 235 applicants eager to don the black costume of the deadly denizens of the night, an astonishing 85% were foreigners, and 29-year-old Chris O’Neill impressed so much during auditions that officials created an extra spot just for him.

So still they hired all Japanese and made an extra position for a gaijin... I know they don't have to hire gaijin but some of us are actually born here.....yet still get called gaijin.

I'm sorry but this festival plus the child porn in this country makes my blood boil. I've seen this festival and watched how preverted it is for parents to be buying their little children penis lollies to suck on... It's freaking sexual as all hell and rather sick.

I think this should be a 18 only event.

Amen Sensei258. Could not have been anymore correct, oh and she is a woman too... So in Japanese eyes they would be the 2 lowest things in the world... Gaijin and Woman.

Key word being "RUSH". Abe has promised to rush decontamination work.... In other words do a crap cheapskate job of it, probably muddling it up even more. TEPCO has been doing rush jobs for 5 years and look how much good as been done? PFFFFFT.

Wakayama MamaFEB. 15, 2016 - 07:32AM JST Strange that no Israelis were injured. With Israel's history of lying and making up excuses, I wonder if any of these Palestinians were involved in any attacks. Anyway, it's time to end this brutal decades-long occupation. The world leaders stand idly by and do nothing - shameful.

I agree. I've seen the way they treat Palestinians... they treat them like criminals, the whole lot of them. I hope soon that everything will be but back the way it was.

Posted in: Japan accepts 27 refugees last year; rejects 99% of applications See in context

I love it how most of you gaijin don't even reside in Japan, let alone pay your taxes here. I've been in Japan for 5 years and work hard like all of the others in this country. I pay my tax, but don't get salary raises to match the tax increase...therefor putting me out of pocket, and my newborn out of more care.... Japan not allowing more refugees into the country is a good start. Why? Well have you seen what happens to countries that allow it? I'm not saying 100% of them are all bad, I'm saying that a country like Japan simply cannot deal with this. Japanese label all foreigners as "gaijin" including myself. If there was to be an attack on Japanese soil by a refugee (or any foreigner of that matter) then I myself as well as many others would be subject to verbal and mental racism by Japanese people who ALWAYS put us in the same boat.

I do believe there is a higher chance of problems coming from refugees, due to the extreme difference of their country and Japan. Unless they can speak N1 level Japanese or fluent English they should not be allowed into the country. Also as well as religious biased refugees that will try to enforce their beliefs on others.

Japan at the moment is not a country of much religion, which is the way I HOPE IT STAYS.

Good luck China You're going to need it. You're little tin bucket is merely a waste of money and effort. It will be no match for modern ALLIED ships. China is bolstering and chest puffing to get respect from other countries, but actually making itself look more aggressive and foolish.

China will never be able to claim the China Sea for their own, soon their will be a confrontation between them and China will be back to Sabre Rattling.

I just wish the world would stop this aggression and work together....as a whole planet.

What's worse is when websites such as news sights delete your comments for really lame excuses stating "volgar or off-topic" when there is other comments that are actually screwed up and yours was fine....

JAPAN TODAY STOP BLOCKING FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I guess your guilty as hell cause you know your one of the sites that do exactly what this article is about! Read the title of your own news article before even posting it on your site. Your moderators are "nasty" and allow certain users to bash others with rediculous comments while people having a simple debate have their comments deleted for various reasons. You want people to be calm and have stable debates and opinions then stop cutting out comments. Sure if they including swearing, hate speech etc you should... But simply labling them as off topic when they are clearly ON TOPIC is just censorship.
