Posted in: Magazine speculates McDonald's may pull out of Japan if things don't improve See in context

We all must be reminded that McDonald's ONLY makes profit from real estate - NOT from food! They are one biggest holders of real estate in the world! It's up to the poor old franchisee to keep their businesses in the black - even tough they don't have any say in company directions! We must show a bit of sympathy to the poor owners of food outlets - they will be the ones that will lose everything! , (did you notice that I didn't state the word restaurant!)

OssanAmerica - "Of course Watson couldn't hand the letter over himself now could he? What a coward."

Do you really think that the Aust Gov't would invite Watson to a 'State Dinner' for Mr Abe? Hello!!!!! Google the definition of a State Dinner please - before making naive defamatory statements...

"(cutting open the bellies of pregnant women among them)”. This happens NOW on daily basis currently in China - harvesting body parts from live prisoners for sale! They even dig & sell dead bodies & sell them for up to 40k to have ghost weddings!

China's hypocrisy concerning crimes to humanity is breath taking!

How many shots at goal did Team Japan have in the last game without success? 20+ The players should be a little bit ashamed of themselves and cop some of the blame for B grade performance. Maybe Japan soccer should think about the golden saying: " A champion team will always beat a team of champions" I think the likes of Honda, who is so up himself, he didn't even acknowledge the 1000's of screaming fans at the airport - should have a reality check and sent to the "Sin Bin" for a while!

ex-japan-visitor - Good Comments and you are mostly correct, except for one major factor - only 10% of the debt is foreign borrowings, the rest has been taken from the population. This makes the comparison between Japan & Greece incorrect.. LUCKILY for the time being at least....

Posted in: Plane carrying Algeria hostage survivors and dead arrives in Japan See in context

paitonboy - Yes, it is very sad for the families, relatives & friends of the victims of terror. Secondly, they are related to the US war on terror, as the "Terrorist Scumbag" as you quoted was supported and trained by the CIA! and was resonsible for the act of terror that killed 30+ victums. Thirdly - I agree that they were "Victims of terrorist scumbags who will one day come knocking on YOUR door." And like what happened in Algeria, this type of act could happen anywhere at anytime. That is why the question must be raised to the US Government - to make them accountable for the "terrorist scumbags" that they allowed to "Go off their radar" and do these type of atrocities. Last but not least - you should re check the definition of the word 'Sick' . This will make you use the word in the right context...

VERY SAD, More victims of the US war on terror? ; I hope that the Japanese government on behalf of it people asks the US government to explain,(and what hasn't been reported in mainstream media yet ) is that Mokhtar Belmokhtar — said to be the mastermind behind the terrorist attack by the Islamist al-Mulathameen (Masked) Brigade was recruited and trained by the CIA in Afghanistan. He was an “Afghan Arab” recruit from North Africa and fought with the CIA and Pakistan ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) Mujahideen that would later splinter into al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

Posted in: Crime stats down across Japan in 2012, says NPA See in context

Shouldn't the heading of "Crime stats down across Japan in 2012, says NPA" be "Lazy NPA hiding more crimes under the carpet" ? e.g. Fact - Only around 10% of dead bodies that the police are involve with, are autopsied - most are just treated as "Suicide" to save investigation & paperwork. I've been told from the horses mouth that most Yakuza crimes are sweep under the carpet!

Lazy, bureacrats just reporting censored government propaganda!

If Chinese want to island back after the invasion - they should do the same with Tibet - But the Typical Chinese character of two immoral unethical faces, this will never happen. I also bet the Chinese government are funding and supporting this protest. The sooner Japanese Manufacturers move to other countries the better AND watch the Chinese economy that is funded secretly by printing money CRASH!

"hereforeverSEP. 17, 2012 - 08:39AM JST And here I sit in Tokyo today, living side by side with Chinese, exchanging our greetings with a smile, Japanese are still eating in Chinese owned restaurants, and we are going about our business peacefully. I guess I can say Japanese are the adults here. I've taught my children to see people as people, not hate someone because of thier nationality. And as a result, they have friends from around the world. To the leaders of countries, stop sending messages of hatred. Grow up and solve this problem."

Posted in: Asian territory disputes could trigger war: Panetta See in context

I really hope Japan doesn't lower themselves to the level of the Chinese by retaliating in such a low class, violent tactics.

The corrupt, immoral, dishonest Chinese Gov't started this confrontation just to bolster their own Nationalistic support - and I bet they will play the heros in fixing it - Typical dominant unethical tactics on their part.

I bet they're even supporting all those brainwashed, thinned skinned hot head protesters.

Grow up China & act properly, otherwise the rest of the world will still continue to look down at you!

This is typical propaganda from the two faced, murderous, corrupt, immoral, lying Chinese Government. While they're asking Japan to respect war victims, they continue to murder & torture 100,000's of Tibetans, rape the countries resources and try to wipe out the culture. Shame on you China!! You disgust me!
