Posted in: Older, stronger Goku in Hollywood's 'Dragonball' See in context

part of me wants to hate this movie because they took dragonball and did whatever they want to it, but then another part of me thinks this may be a pretty good action movie if I don't compare it to what I already know from dragonball.

@ aj201 very loosely

Posted in: Amazon yanks Japanese rape simulation computer game See in context

before I get jumped on. The rest of the comment I was typing was:

There must have been other copies of the game that showed up before now. Why is it just being pulled now? You would think that they would have said something earlier.

I find your comment hilarious considering your username. I am curious why/if they plan to sky like that though. You could get pretty messed up if you fell down.

JayJaye

I'm with you there. I found it quite strange someone thinks the mindset of american superheroes is to just kill that bad guys. Usually, that's the very LAST resort.

I don't know, I mean I already know of a bunch of people over here who already have heard of her and are fan of her music. She might be able to go mainstream if she can just get some videos on tv.

man, I just thought about my little niece (approx. 1 and 1/2). She can't even talk yet. Being kicked to death is pretty messed up in itself, but being kicked to death at that age....

Posted in: Sony unveils improved PlayStation Portable See in context

Sony also unveiled a service planned for later this year in Japan that will allow several PSP machines to play games together, even if they aren’t in the same room, by connecting to the Internet through PlayStation 3 machines. Layden said details will be released later.

Finally something official, I think most people have been relying on xlink kai or similar programs for a long time.

the original thai movie was better, not that this version was bad or anything.

Posted in: Ex-gangster shot to death in Fukuoka See in context

You expect forgiveness for this scumbag?

not really, but seeing comments like "it's good he's dead" or "no loss" it really feels wrong. I really don't know much about the guy. Never even heard of him before reading this article. He probably did some pretty bad stuff in his lifetime. He might have grown up with those kind of things happening around him all of his life. Still, I don't think it's right to brush off someone's life, even if you didn't known or care about them.

Posted in: Years ago, business was the main motivation for young foreigners to learn the Japanese language. But nowadays, people learn Japanese because they want to read Japanese manga, play Japanese games and r See in context

I fall under the second category. If learning allows me to read, watch, and play what I like without having to wait for it to be translated, then I don't see a problem with it.

somehow an apology doesn't seem to make up for 10+ years of dirty looks, but I guess there really isn't much people can do to make up for that now.
