what is not mentioned is the amazing heroism of the plant staff during the disaster and after. they deserve mention and honour. As for the report, i was and am grateful for it. I am once again sad to see the need some posters here always or often seem to feel the need to be critical of anything and everything. I am happy and grateful for the coverage and effort it went into it. Thank you to the author and to TEPCO

I am appalled that anyone would think of this sort of savagely sad display would appropriate for a so called family approved event of any kind let alone one seen by millions. Truly a horrendous sign of lack of taste and public decency. Just beyond belief. As for the power of women, well no it is not it is a sad display of the exploitation of them by themselves.

This is a wonderful step forward in the battle to stop the attempt of socalists and their supporters from trying to impose their rule on the world. I am very happy for England to have its own world back. It was a great mistake to build the tunnel under the Channel and to break the wall of the Sea that defended the country. Now they can set up walls again. They do not need free trade with Europe just wait for the EU to collapse and all of the socalists to scurry back to their own countries.

Congrats Great Britain.

I am pleased to see a vast majority of posters here understand the danger of this situation. The vector is huge and widening. that means that millions have been exposed 2 milion got out of the infected city before it was shut down.

do the math.

as for the two idiots who refused to be tested, they likely KNEW they had ti and wanted to get away. It should not have been allowed. Never. Get them back and force a testing. time to be realistic is NOW.. A week from now will be far too late.

This is far from the best of manga or anime, the series with violence and lots of darkness seem to attract the most attention easily in the West..they are far from representative of the great work done in both Manga and Anime in many other genres.

Her record and her failures and mistakes speak for themselves. I am not surprised that she is trying to restore her image but too many people have seen what she can and can't do. That is the benefit of a free democracy, leaders are held accountable for what they do and say. History will judge.

It is amazing that this woman and her husband continue to manage to be public figures without showing any shame for the many abuses of tax law and legality of their foundation, and other moral turpitude. She entered into politics with no experience at all, other than being married to a elected official, and showed contempt for her role as Secretary of State and for her own employees while in that role, as well as moving her official e mail correspeondence to an unsecure private server. I can understand that her name is headline worthy, but it is sad to see her given such coverage and such credence. These are my private opinions and directly related to this article and worthy of being posted as much as any other comments, pro and con of any news and issue posted here. Free Speech with respect is still a right worthy of practice.

Sadly the entertainment industry in California and the US is becoming more and more a joke, time was when it was a leader in creating quality entertainment. The amounts of money paid and spent within the industry are beyond belief and this article shows some of the reasons it is hard now to respect this industry. good coverage in this article, thank you, for it shows a lot of important facts not just the headlines.

Posted in: There are cases where provisional leave cannot be granted due to security concerns. But the length of detention and conditions at detention facilities in Japan have been criticized internationally, and there needs to be improvement in regard to human rights. See in context

Japan has one of the lowest crime rates in the world. It is clear that permissinve lack of appropriate punishment has led to generations in the US of flagrant disregard for law and order and the death penalty has a crucial role as a deterent.

Posted in: Fans remember victims 6 months after attack on Kyoto anime studio See in context

KyoAni is a wonderful company of compassion and great quality of work. It has always been known for a company and studio that supports its workers and creators and has created some of the finest Anime series and films yet made. It was a terrible cruel wonton act that took the lives of so many fine people, and the event was deeply felt around the world among all who followed and supported the work of the studio.

Great sensitivity has been shown by the country, the government and the region and thousands have some to pray for the lost and for the firm. It is undecided what to do with the land, the structure needs to be removed to cleanse from the act and to allow the surivivors and the families of the slain to move on and heal. It is uncertain what to do with the land that the company owns, they will consider the deep feelings of the hundreds of thousands if not millions of fans.... and some memorial should exist...but hopefuly one that will consider the local community as well as the firm and the followers. Great care has been shown by the Company and its fine leaders about the huge financial donations. and for the families for those lost so I expect to see the best outcome possible. May peace come to all concerned.

Posted in: In 2019, the box office belonged to Disney See in context

George is very very very sorry now that he sold the rights to Disney. Disney is single handedly destroying the Star Wars canon with shallow and trite soap operas. Too bad. They also killed the excellent series Cone Wars the animated series that had six superb seasons under George. Disney turned it into a Aladin re make with a smart mouthed punk kid as the new hero.

A movie actor is hardly an expert on politics. I respect and admire Trump as one of the finest presidents that American has had in a long long time. America is still a free country with everyone having the right to their own opinion however just because someone is a famous actor does not give their comments any more importance than mine.

He is a horrible horrible man, not worthy of any sympathy or care at all. His crime will stand for all time as one of the worst in modern times. I am sure the doctors did what they could for him but they were morally right to put the victims ahead of the criminal who tried to kill them.

I am glad that the restaurant is being considerate of its aging owner.

I found most of this article very interesting however the need to mention famous people seemed tasteless and un needed. In Japan people are respected for who the are as people not as 'stars" I frankly respect the restaurant for upholding their own standards.

Posted in: Deluged bullet trains show power of nature over modernization See in context

I am sad as usual to see the deluge of negative comments on Japanese culture, government and so forth. And the slant of the article using Western scientists is also a bit sad. The best people to know Japanese weather patterns are in Japan . and finaly there is no scientific proof of climate change, there are shifts of weather and always have been ...we only have good records going back a ways before that core samples and tree rings are it. And historic records when they exist. there has been awareness of the dangers of bad weather and flooding and the threat to infrastructure in Japan for hundreds of years. In the "old" days wheeled vehicles except a few official ones were forbidden on roads to protect the roads from excessive damage.

It is sad to see the trains damaged, they are treasured parts of the much respected and supported train service and I am sure they will be repaired and fixed just fine. I suggest we keep commenting more positive in such a tough time. It would be nice. Andrespectful to those working so hard to deal with this tough time.

KyoAni are very special people and are most of us feel in the industry of anime one of the finest companies of any, for their ethics, support of their staff, and quality of work. They continue to be a guiding light for all who love and work in anime and continue to show the right path in all ways. This all shows in their work and I am sure will continue to do so. Thank you Japan Today for continuing to show respect and to share about the story. Much appreciated.

Japan is just fine. there is no need to try to force Japanese people to accept other cultures. Other cultures can stay at home and be just as they wish. So please respect Japan and the desire to just be Japanese ...this silly ideal of multiculturalism is born from socialist attempts to water down everyone to a single global mass easy to manipulate and harvest for power.

Japan is just fine as it is. There is no need to change....

Posted in: Climate deniers get more media play than scientists: study See in context

It has been long obvious to any with real scientific background that the entire climate change farce has been another attempt by liberal and fantasy based media pundits to create another power base by skewing and over dramatizing some rather basic natural shifts and trends that have been part of the planet's long history. I don't even bother reading any of the doom saying coverage and like the LGBT farce, just marvel that modern media has become so much the tool of rather amazingly gullible and ignorant junk.
