"The South Korean government is not particularly tolerant of criticisms against its politicians and certain ideologies, with bloggers risking arrest for expressing their opinions. Posted in: Japan OKs use of textbooks citing islands disputed with neighbors See in context
Most Japanese do not care about the Liancourt Rocks, while in Korea, everyone is indoctrinated on "Dokdo" at school and at home, people cheer when an athelete swims across the ocean to the islands, the media claim that the Japanese can invade at any moment, and the military flew over the islands the same week they cancelled another military drill with the U.S. to please Kim Jong Un. The islands are a symbol of Korean nationalism and a fuel for anti-Japanese sentiment. With their rabid obsession, Korea is more likely to start a war over the Liancourt Rocks than Japan.
