Probably it will be randomized so you'd think it's just your imagination, on the other hand ads shown to you are related to your browsing history so they will always look familiar.

A tablet can be very useful even for work with the right apps, but most people just use them for e-mail, web browsing, video/music, ebooks, and you don't need a powerful PC for that, but that's exactly what a lot of people would get before. You'd call a tech savvy friend to help you pick a gaming-capable PC or even build one for you only to end up using it just to surf the web. Now people just get a tablet or a smartphone and everyone can be a tech geek and part of the "post PC" era.
