Posted in: Nadeshiko Japan stuck in economy class, while men's team go business class See in context
You have to consider that probably the men travel first class all the time even in domestic flights and that's most definitely not the case with the female team. Still a stupid decision if both teams were using the same plane and it would have been a nice gesture by the men to demand equal treatment.
As for Sawa complaining about seniority I can only laugh, bet she gets some perks by being one of the older senpai.

I have only seen a few Tesco goods in Tokyo. I thought that they were trying to make in-roads into the market.
They have a japanese supermarket chain, you'll never notice they sell tesco stuff unless you got in.

so much for my conspiracy theory! :(
Well imagine the ads changing according to the topic of your conversation. Did the ad appear before or after you mentioned a certain product? Probably it will be randomized so you'd think it's just your imagination, on the other hand ads shown to you are related to your browsing history so they will always look familiar.

We all don't... what kind of stupid writing is this?
Ebisen, exactly. The author has to learn the difference between a news story (which this essentially is) and a personal essay (in this case a juvenile rant).
Have you checked the source? It's not a news site just a blog about weird stuff.

Nice gesture but it's not her money, is it? At least not in this case, but I'm sure she has donated a lot already.
When some artists donate a percentage of the proceeds of their records you have to consider that they don't really make much of record sales, so even that tiny percentage might be all the money the artists were supposed to make after all.
And welcome back to Japan, next week (does it bother Japanese right-wingers if you point out she started the Asian tour in SKorea before coming to Japan?).
Maybe not as much as it seems to please you. ww

One day maybe someone will design a gadget that can actually help ALL of mankind with the real troubles we face. One day.
And this technology could be part of it, some breakthroughs come when existing technologies are used in a different way or when they are combined with others that apparently were totally unrelated.

You've got to laugh.... only Japan can produce a product that registers the emotions, as the users are too cold and robotic to show any naturally !
maybe that's the point, while they can restrain themselves the cat ears can give away their "real" emotions

More importantly, we've been recently warned that dental X-rays can be the cause of brain tumors, that cell-phones can cause cancer when held to the ear - are these things "safe" ?
these are just reading some sort of signal not emitting anything, it may work by measuring the pulse, no need for hi tech

What's next a tail? I wonder if people buying this stuff have any significant brain activity to make it work properly.

Two or three times can be funny but more and it gets boring very fast like softbank or boss. They keep changing products every few months why do they have to use the same people over and over again.

Well after it took them what, 10 years to come out with their last CD that bombed... I liked GNR but Axl really was a childish jerk.
An album that bombed? you can't judge it by the numbers they sold in the 90's since nobody is selling CD's anymore only crappy pop and everyone knows those sales numbers are exaggerated. If you don't like the music that's fine but sales numbers were never a sign of quality.
Can't blame Axl, specially if on top of everything the hall of fame organization chose green day to induct them.

Great finish for Kobayashi and Perez, who started last. Red Bull are still very strong but the other teams have improved a lot, except for Ferrari, one more year fighting for the fifth place for Alonso.

A tablet can be very useful even for work with the right apps, but most people just use them for e-mail, web browsing, video/music, ebooks, and you don't need a powerful PC for that, but that's exactly what a lot of people would get before. You'd call a tech savvy friend to help you pick a gaming-capable PC or even build one for you only to end up using it just to surf the web. Now people just get a tablet or a smartphone and everyone can be a tech geek and part of the "post PC" era.
