@wtfjapan - exactly! Naturalizing would simply be a waste of time and money. Imagine getting carded by the police afterwards. You wouldn't be required to keep ID (cuz you'd be Japanese) and they would not believe you. They would drag your bum to holding until they could verify.

FAKE - That is a compilation of at least 3 different images.

Work the required hours

Demand over time pay, (or refuse to do it)

Cut students who misbehave

Actually fail students who fail

It's ludicrous to expect the teachers to put up with all the demands for that pay. Get rid of the stress (unpaid over time and rotten apples) and the job will improve greatly, as will school life for the students.

As people live longer and healthier than before, she argues that they should be encouraged to carry on working and learning through different stages of life.

Don't tell the companies! Next thing you know, "retirement age" will be raised to 75 with pension benefits starting at 80.

@D. Lewis: No.

And:

Don’t be silly.

No? Re-read the headline.

Not being silly. The wording in the law is silly. Why stipulate 16-18 if it also includes 15 and under?

It would make more sense to simply charge an entrance fee where they don't, and to raise the fee at places they already do. Many tourists visit Kyoto without staying there. Leave the hoteliers out of the equation.

customers shared serving tools such as tongs.

Yup! That's why I just use my hands at the salad bar and wipe them off afterward. Tongs are nasty business!

Seriously tho, shared items such as tongs need to be changed often with cleaned ones, because, as others have pointed out, many people haven't discovered soap - or even water.

Actor Keisuke Koide referred to prosecutors for drinking with underage girl

Wow. They're getting him on drinking with a minor?

an ordinance on healthy youth development, which forbids minors between the age of 16 and 18

So 15 and under is okay??

I feel your pain at having a gazillion tourists around all the time, but prohibiting photography is pretty lame. As long as it's outside, it's fair game. Same goes with "celebrities".

One-third of the films screening at the festival this year were directed by women, up from 27 percent in 2016.

But it wasn't easy attracting female talent, Handling said, with only 14 percent of the 7,299 festival submissions coming from women.

Do the math. 14% of all applications were by females. Roughly 33% of films shown were by female. Depending on the total number of films shown, films by women were selected 1.8 to 3.5 times more than men.
