it was just a brilliant free publicity PR campaign devised by HIS PR planners. they got what they wanted, free publicity. And once the T girls arrive "overseas" with their travelling companions, will they also "oversee" night-time activities too? this campaign worked! this news will be in the international English language media, with suggestive headlines galore. a win-win, spin- spin situation.

strangerland, i know you are going to vote me off the island for saying this, and i've said it before here at JT, i have been a Trump fan since day one, and i am voting for him. why? he is a breath of fresh air in america and in washington. no more business as usual. the bushes, carter, ford, clinton, obama, all the same. business as usual. trump spells triumph of the american spirit. i am willing and eager even to give it a try for eight years.

Re-read ON THE BEACH by Nevil Shute in 1957 before O & A do their media dance for world camera crews. Sadly, we are stuck with nuke weapons forever. Who's gonna blink? First Japan needs to say sorry to world for starting the Pacific (sic) War.

Posted in: Prince had opioid meds with him when died: reports See in context

Yes, Kobe, time heals all rock star pop star movie star wounds. In 25 years, Prince will be remembered as true musical genius, not as a drug mule.

Posted in: Prince had opioid meds with him when died: reports See in context

He was using fentanyl patches since 1984. He took his opiates in pills and skin patches so nobody would ever see him taking drugs. Yes the patches slowly sent vicodin and oxycodin etc into his blood. He was doing this since 1984. Now Strangerland, what say you now that the autopsy is done? Was I right or was I wrong? Another "idol" gone south. Had his own dealer in los angeles for 25 years. Hired him as roadie for shows to keep him close at hand.

Posted in: Prince had opioid meds with him when died: reports See in context

Apparently, he suffered from stage fright and had been using oPiAte pills and patches since 1984 to help him relax at shows. He wasn't using to get high or escape reality but just to help him overcome stage fright. Cut him some slack. He brought joy to many people.

Posted in: Taiwan fishermen protest seizure of boat by Japan See in context

This is playing very poorly in Taiwan. When 311 quake tsunami struck, Taiwanese people dug deep into their own pockets and donated more money for relief efforts than any other nation. And this is how cold hearted Japan treats the country now, demanding a ransom on the high seas? what a way to treat a friend. Taiwanese people are crying (foul) today. Terrible move on Japan part.

His "reputation" was one thing, protected by enablers, reporters and PR people. But the reality of his opiate fueled life from 1984 to 2016 is another reality entirely. Rest in peace, troubled troubador. Prince, we hardly knew ye.

@Tessa, why should it matter that a revered, idolized pop icon with a squeaky clean image was, as his longtime dealer alleged, spending USD 40,000 twice a year for over 25 years to treat his shyness and stage fright with pill and patch forms of powerful healing balms While insisting at the time he was against the use of such healing balms? Does the word hypocrisy still exist in the pop music world? Yes we all know now in our hearts what went down, behind closed doors, with our pure hero.

I'll never forget seeing the movie Purple Rain in a movie theater in either Eugene Oregon or Juneau Alaska in 1980s. Cannot remember the place or date exactly but I do remember thinking "this is one amazing movie with a soundtrack to match."

Did Prince change the world? No. But he put a lot of zing into his fans' lives. Who knew it would end like this, in a silent, enclosed, stopped home elevator box? As John Lennon said "life is what happens when you're busy making other plans. " RIP musical genius man...
