Personally, I don't care if is a woman or a man.
It all depends what she/can can do for the community, but most important, if they keep their word.
Also, not to be bought or "sponsored" by any corporation, to their own interest, like is done everywhere. But that's just wishful thinking...

As always, Japanese tend to invent new words, for things that already have meanings established.
There is no "bocchi" culture. That's just the kawaii name of Introvertism, the appropriate name used by everyone else.
Which btw, not sure why JT keep promoting this like it's a good thing? Especially in a country with such a sharp population decline, overly shy people, Hikimoris, where people do not know how to interact one to another, etc.

Posted in: Japan tech firms tap AI to help workers handle abusive customers See in context
Japan has the most polite and friendly customer service in the world by far. That's not an exaggeration. But as always, there are some customers who abuse this kindness and still follow the mindset "Customer is God". This is now a cultural thing and is so deep rooted that it can never change.
However, as a customer who had dealed with both Softbank, Docomo and similar overpriced mobile companies here, sometimes I can understand where the abuse and frustration comes from.
Those mobile companies support in Japan, but not only, are the most incompetent and cold I have ever got a chance to interact with. For all my queries or inquiries, the only questions I was receiving was "we cannot", "we do not", "I don't know", "this is part of the contract's details", "we cannot help because...", etc, etc. The tech support is actually that bad. But very polite. :)

Sadly, we keep hearing the same nonsense over and over. It is NOT the declining birthrate and working force getting lower, the main cause of the Economic decline and deteriorating living conditions. That's just a callous excuse for the politicians cease incompetency, and especially voting the same corrupt and gerontocratic Party over and over again for the past 30-40 years.
If one can deeply look into the root case of this, is the uncanning inability of Japanese people to change, the cultural deep rooted fear of change, of trying something new.
Even if they totally lost the leading in IT, technology, the Japanese companies still refuse to change, refuze to take risks and innovate, the fear of failure is 10x times bigger than the hope of success.
Unfortunatelly, as long as no cultural revolution is on sight, things will only go from bad to worst...

Another proof that the patient confidentiality is non existing in Japan and Japanese hospitals.
As far as it goes, a doctor, or a hospital should not discriminate any person despite their social status or beliefs, not to mention race, ethnicity, etc.
But that's all theoretical only.

I guess all whose who down votes the comments regarding dual citizenship do not have kids with mix heritage.
If they would have, they would understand the absurdity and the crime Japanese gob impose to those kids to choose one parent over the other, to be forced to choose one culture, one citizenship over the other's parent.
Most of the modern and civilized countries allow for dual citizenship, so it's not like a specific thing only to Japan.

There is no such thing as laber shortage. The Media has to stop with this nonsense.
There is only extremely low salary jobs. I never understood why business in Japan refuse to pay any more than the minimum wage?? Nobody wants to work for that miserable salary with the lowest pension in all developed countries.
Pay the workers more, and you will have people aligning for interviews in no time.

Unpopular opinion:
I'm completelly against the Death Penalty, except for those who murdered and rape children, or similar atrocious cases.
However those have to be 110% clear proven guilty, with undoubtable evidences, not just based on a forced confession under torture, by the Japanese hostage system. Forced confession doesn't mean proof.
And yes, the executioner should definitely be a family member, preferably the father, if he desires so.
