don't see the problem with 10 to be honest, its kind of cute. Most unattractive thing I think is women who break wind loudly.

I wish all pay for TV was optional, we got BBC here in the UK and have to pay a yearly TV licence because of it. why not encrypt the signal like satellite TV does, that way people who don't want to pay, don't have to watch it.

Posted in: Woman attacks high school girl with knife outside apartment See in context

can't Japan bring in some sort of knife laws like in England, where even carrying a knife without solid reason brings a heft fine and possible jail time. it hasn't completely eradicated knife crimes but has lowered it. It's depressing as hell seeing all these people getting attacked on an almost daily basis with knives.

Posted in: Why do Japanese change their attitude when they communicate with foreigners? See in context

In all my times in Japan people have been very pollite or indifferent, which is nice, the only encounter with an impollite Japanese I have had was a taxi driver in Narita. We approached the taxi, he took a look at me and said [Take the bus, theres a bus stop near here] I told him that I was in a hurry and if he could take the quickest way. He then trned his rear view mirror to face up so as not to see me then took the long way to the hotel where I was staying (I knew it was the long way because the previous 3 times the drivers went a different, and cheaper route).
