"president of Iran, who Sen. Obama wants to sit down and negotiate with face to face" What's wrong with negotiation? Is he just trying to hate-monger? As a politician, he should know that speaking with someone face-to-face is the best way to get them to listen. Luckily, this was all said on Fox News, which is only watched by his supporters.

I'm sorry everyone but I love self-aware, aweful (silly) horror films Evil Dead; Evil Dead 2; Army of Darkness; Battle Royale; Dead Alive; Night of the Lepus; Grind House

As far as widely accepted movies: Vertigo; The Third Man; Casablanca

Moderator, can you fix that unnecessary post above by purging it from existence?

I hate recent American politics because everyone has to be so concerned about if the candidate has the same religious views as themselves. I am so fed up ... I'm leaving this country (seriously). The problem is, while you are right that the founding fathers of the US wanted a separation of church and state, it was a lot easier for the people back then. The reason being that everyone had the same religious views more or less in the US, so nobody cared. Now with the onset of American mysticism and hating all things secular, the people here all think that they are correct and don't bother to listen to anyone else. Sadly though, this isn't just an American view as I've traveled to world seeing this in people everyone.

Oh ya, I'd also like to point out the results of a survey I read about a year or two ago. They surveyed the American public about how they would feel about electing presidents of varying religions. Guess who is the least trusted religious group in the US ... Atheists. That's right, if you don't believe that there is some unobservable, all-seeing deity(ies) then you must be the antichrist (because clearly the antichrist would not believe in a god, despite the fact that his purpose is to destroy god ... paradox? ... yes). I've been called that more times than I like to count.

Sorry, I am just angered about how my own people care so much about ensuring their candidate is as i****ant as they are. God bless the first Atheist president we elect (in the future if ever).

While this does read like an ad, it was interesting. I'd be interested in reading a future article about the standards and changes occurring in undergraduate and postgraduate education in Japan.

You make an interesting observation, though, I don't think that there is much need for an investigation. Heat can reduce sperm count, but this is a temporary problem that only lasts up to 24 hours I believe (though daily bath would basically reduce the count). Also, I believe a lot of research has been interested in social reasons why the birth count is down and has found that it is societal, business, and money issues that are main factors in why the Japanese generally don't try to have more children. I think that it's more of a do they WANT more children and not about CAN they have more children.

If we make race an issue, it becomes an issue. Can't we all just get along? I don't think mentioning their race is necessary at all because it makes the racists feel they have a cause. Well put telecasterplayer

I'm going to have to agree with notimpressed. The people who are saying that this is "inappropriate" and what not need to understand that every culture has its differences. I'm an American and I personally find our (American) society is generally full of uptight twits who think they know whats best for everybody. If children visit this site, then allow them to have a cultural experience and see what happens in a far away country, it won't harm them ... seriously. If you don't want your children seeing this, then don't let them visit JT while this picture is on the front page, that's all it takes. But if they use the computer whenever they feel like it, then they've probably found some worse stuff than this, sorry to break the news to you.
