Let’s start with the basic Galaxy S5 specs:

5.1-inch display. Android 4.4 KitKat. 16-megapixel rear camera. 2 gigabytes of RAM. Storage options of 16 or 32 gigabytes. MicroSD card storage. Waterproofing with a IP67 rating. 802.11 ac Wifi, with MIMIO (2x2). Bluetooth 4.0 LE USB 3.0. NFC. IR port. 2,800 mAh (removable) battery.

The most interesting development out of the GS5's announcement might be the arrival of waterproofing as a mainstream feature. Other Android manufacturers, notably Sony, have been doing this for a while, my LG isai is Waterproof with a IP67 rating.

Korean construction is infamous for shoddy work, so no surprise here! RIP?? By the way, it was a pre-fab assembly building imported from the US. So it was essentially an American made building.

An increase of downwardly staring people crashing into each other — and occasionally falling off train platforms — while texting has led the largest railway in the Tokyo region to ask commuters to put away their smartphones while walking.

I would guess the women was looking at her phone, really she did not see a 25-cm gap?

The FBI has attempted to blacklist photos which show men working for a private military organization wearing heavy backpacks and appearing to take part in a drill at the Boston Marathon, instead focusing on two other individuals while proclaiming, “other photos will not be deemed credible.”

University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines.

"They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it's just a training exercise," Coach Ali Stevenson told a Local TV station

Stevenson said he saw law enforcement spotters on the roofs at the start of the race. He's been in plenty of marathons in Chicago, D.C., Chicago, London and other major metropolitan areas but has never seen that level of security before. "Evidently, I don't believe they were just having a training exercise," Stevenson said. "I think they must have had some sort of threat or suspicion called in."

CNN reports a state government official said there were no credible threats before the race.

Posted in: 300 Mbps high power laptop Lan adaptor See in context

um...maybe some one here has no knowledge of what they are talking about . LAN-WH300NU2 is 802.11N.

fyi>>> all previous versions of 802.11 have a channel bandwidth of 20MHz. 802.11n has an optional mode (controversial and not usable in many circumstances) where the channel bandwidth is 40 MHz. While the channel bandwidth is doubled, the number of data sub-carriers is slightly more than doubled, going from 52 to 108. This yields a total channel throughput of 150 Mbps. So again combining four channels with MIMO, we get 600 Mbps. so in others words Data rates up to 600 Mbit/s are achieved only with the maximum of four spatial streams using one 40 MHz-wide channel

Posted in: Man stabbed on station platform after pushing dispute See in context

It was "Big Brother" watching that enabled a psycho to be put away for 5 years last week back home when he was caught on camera running up behind an innocent 16 year old girl and bashing her unconscious to the ground. Im with nishkat - if big brother wants to watch me - go ahead, I have nothing to hide. If he wants to watch OUT for me - Id be very grateful the way things are going these days

. When people begin to fear their own neighbors, when bitter suspicion replaces easy acceptance between coworkers and friends, and when a man can mistrust the intentions of his own brother, that’s when a nation begins to falter and fail.

Posted in: Man stabbed on station platform after pushing dispute See in context

What are you afraid of? If you are doing nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about. If someone robbed you but was caught and convicted due to the cameras would you still find them scary?

The basic logic of such a surveillance system is that for our security as citizens we are all being surveilled, or potentially so. That is to say, the logic of the system is that we must all be considered suspect in a first step in order to ensure our safety. Who, then, have we the citizens become, or turned into? Are we the new colonials?

Busan 부산 or Pusan부산 ? The name is spelled both ways on signs around the city. To my ears, “Pusan” 부산 sounds more like what people are actually saying. It comes down to this. Koreans think aspiration important but, English speakers consider voicing more.
