God, thank you choiwaruoyaji! I have an iPhone and mostly apple products, but think Andriod phones are just as great. I'm plain tired of people comparing their android phone to my iPhone and trying to outdo me on features and apps. Yes you have a nice feature, I have one as well, can we move past this.

And I thought it was bad when English speaking newscasters made terrible puns. The English pun on the sign just made me want to grab his sign and cut off that corner.

@shaolin7 Love your compassion, but if I gave out money to every homeless man that comes to me with a card written in English asking for change I would soon be on the bench with them. I think its better to volunteer since you know you're actually helping instead of handing out money when you have no idea what they are really going to spend it on.

Absolutely loved this place, there are a variety of displays to see, and some decent restaurants to eat at. When I went last year it had just finished pouring down rain so the place was empty so me and my lady pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Last year they did this amazing aurora borealis display which was beautiful.

This sounds like the manners police on the trains. A bunch of old elderly people wearing green jackets roaming the trains trying to enforce Japanese etiquette. Wonder if they are still doing that. Not sure what's with all the hate filled "smokers should die comments". Never had a problem with smokers since they usually go off and hide to light their smokes. Of course being in a smoke filled izakaya irritates my eyes a bit, but that's nothing a few beers can't take care of.

Great shot. Moral of the pic: Get off the phone and you can smile like the rest of us.

This brings back horrible memories of an overcrowded park with a 3 hour wait minimum to ride the rides, and gift shops filled with people standing shoulder to shoulder trying to buy halloween goods to show off to their friends. I think I will have nightmares tonight.

Disillusioned, your name goes well with your comment. While we're at it, let's get everyone to ban alcohol too, saw how great that worked in America. Gloobey, the price is way too cheap, it's so much easier to kick a nasty habit when you can't afford it.

Squash menthol would probably be the same as the "Camel Crush" posters in America. Regular smoke at first, then squeeze it and it changes to menthol flavor.

Love my iMac, iMacbook, & iPhone, they work like a dream after all the kinks are fixed months after their release, but can't really see a reason to buy this unless you wanna be that trendy guy sitting in starbucks checking your facebook status to try and show off your expensive paperweight.

Posted in: Anti-base ad See in context

Geez, Hatoyama really got himself into a pickle with this issue. I can see how any country including America would hate having a foreign military on their own soil, but by removing the military bases and possibly voiding the SOFA agreement would mean Japan would have to beef up there forces just to provide a since of security to their citizens (especially when NK likes to rattle some cages by test firing their missiles into the sea of Japan). By doing so, Japan would have to put more of their tax money into military spending like America does which would mean Japan would have to make cut backs on other public programs or risked being taxed more than they are right now. I say Japan has a sweet deal with these bases there, its just too bad the Okinawins have to put up with the brunt of it.

Wow, great gender bait, I can't wait to go out and buy a $150 blue ray now that I saw a beautiful woman painted blue and wearing a non revealing outfit. As for using a woman to try to sell blue rays, they obviously know which gender is more likely to buy their products.

You're killing me smalls. The picture is of an beautiful lady (not overly cute) and of decent size and weight, and you're telling me she's too skinny? Well if that's the case, come on over to Texas where some guys say "She ain't a lady unless she's 280 (lbs)"

Wow, its a party people. If you want to view cherry blossoms there are plenty of places where you can view them outside of a park. I happen to love this holiday just like any other holiday that gives people an excuse to get together, throw back a few, and have a good time. Last time I went to a park to have a picnic with a few friends on a nice sunny day, we were bored out of our minds seeing as there was no one around.

Looks better than most of the strange cages I've found at parks. I think lake biwajima has 2 small old cages just sitting in the middle of the park with a deer in one and a few monkeys in the other. I couldn't really figure out why they were there. Proffesor, I think that Mittsu was joking about the aquariums too...

Posted in: American arrested in Fukuoka for kidnapping own kids from ex-wife See in context

The worst thing about this whole story is the fact that the kids will have a hard time reaching their father. From all the stories that I've been reading about it seems like a lost cause when a mother steals away their children to Japan. I remember one of the happiest times of my life was when I turned 7 and was able to fly across America by myself to visit my dad during the summer time. These kids won't have that option for a long time.

T_rexmaxytime, why all the hate? You sound as if you know this family personally.
