It's funny how many people get upset when the Pope starts acting like a Christian.

Wow, so much techno-gibberish and advertising bumf! (And I'm an audiophile.)
For the rest of you, probably your best bet for making your earbuds comfortable are Comply Foam Tips; they're made for most major (aka expensive) name brand earbuds, and provide better fit than most silicon tips (your mileage may vary).
Finally, much as I hate to say it, most recent Hi-Res products are a bit of a scam. I love my Pono player and Sennheiser HD800s, but even so, I find it difficult to discern much difference between CDs and hi-res files. Often well ripped MP3s are more than sufficient for my needs.
Digital production has improved enormously since its inception and I suspect that most of the sonic improvements we have enjoyed of late are due to good 24-bit remixes rather than the extended--and inaudible--frequency ranges being touted these days.
That said, the Pono player is the best investment in audio quality I have ever made. The Ayre circuitry is super and the Pono is a joy to listen to either as a portable or as part of a home system.
Again, your mileage may vary.

Japan protected its Jewish community and other European Jews by giving them exit visas as the Nazi's approached.
No, Japan didn't: a rogue diplomat--Chiune Sugihara--who possessed a sense of humanity and decency uncommon amongst Japanese officials of the day, disobeyed orders and issued exit visas in Lithuania. For his trouble he was forced to resign and ignored by the Japanese government until his dying day.

Total nonsense. This story was already thoroughly debunked before the weekend.
Last weekend, a hacker who's been campaigning to make a point about Apple security by playing fast and loose with the now widely-accepted definition of "backdoor" struck gold when journalists didn't do their homework and erroneously reported a diagnostic mechanism as a nefarious, malfeasant, secret opening to their private data.
Speaking at the Hackers On Planet Earth conference in New York, Jonathan Zdziarski said that Apple’s iOS contains intentionally created access that could be used by governments to spy on iPhone and iPad users to access a user's address book, photos, voicemail and any accounts configured on the device.
As he has been doing since the Snowden documents started making headlines last year, Mr. Zdziarski re-cast Apple's developer diagnostics kit in a new narrative, turning a tool that could probably gain from better user security implementation into a sinister "backdoor."
The "Apple installed backdoors on millions of devices" story is still making headlines, despite the fact that respected security researchers started debunking researcher Jonathan Zdziarski's claims the minute people started tweeting about his HopeX talk on Sunday.

No, this is the beginning of a long-term strategy with milestones and targets to gauge its progress. It's something Japan is quite good at. Detroit still hasn't caught up with Japan's lead in hybrid car technology and I doubt they ever will. Meanwhile Japan is moving ahead to the 'fuel of the future'.
Yes, it will be expensive (and no doubt there will be some profiteering and rewards for the insiders) but overall the whole world will benefit from the introduction and dissemination of this technology.
It can't come soon enough.
