Build a ramp, move it under the boat and against the building, then tow it down?

Posted in: Yamaha offers electric scooters for green errands See in context
It is unclear whether Yamaha’s target buyers—Japanese women, who routinely use bicycles for grocery shopping and other errands—will opt for a green scooter.
Yet another dent in the pockets of poor everyday salarymen's kozukai.
Pros: "eco-friendly"
Cons: high price, half the range and speed of a gas scooter, takes hours to recharge, disposing of batteries - not so eco-friendly, would be difficult to "borrow" a strangers konsento to recharge if batteries died while away from home, batteries cost big bucks if there is a need to replace, majority of power plants supplying electricity still burn fossil fuels.
Summary: No thanks.

Bottom line is the beef ban is nothing more than an attempt to protect local markets similar to the rice import taxes.

So let me get this straight. These men have their salary deposited into their own account, then he transfers his entire salary over to his wife's account, THEN his wife returns the kozukai in cash to the husband??? Sounds a bit backwards to me. If the husband needed more money, why not give his wife a kozukai directly from his account instead, and keep the amount that he needs/wants? Sounds like an easy solution from the husbands point of view.

By the way, why can’t I find good sausages in Japan?
Everyone everywhere in the world wants the sausages that their mother used to cook when they were growing up. We can never replicate that. I could make you 1,000 sausages and you’d say they were not the ones you want. Sausages are a very individual thing. The one thing that has happened in more recent years is the production of gourmet sausages and in Australia especially, the range is enormous.
Au contraire mon frère! Cheddar Lit’l Smokies by Hillshire Farm cooked over a BBQ grill (drool).

Communist North Korea has its own example of man’s folly, in the form of Pyongyang’s 330-meter-high Ryugyong Hotel. Begun in 1987, it would have been the world’s tallest hotel at the time; but work was halted in 1992 and it remains incomplete—“a symbol of the economic collapse of North Korea,” as one political observer puts it.
It's a good thing they have those Noko Jeans to fall back on!
