a lady in Australia lost two relatives in the Malaysian flight in March, and now today go the news that another two relatives were lost in the Malaysian plane shot down in Ukraine. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-07-18/mh17-queensland-deaths-family-hit-by-both-malaysian-crashes/5608524

Yeah, I can't understand this one. If I lost family members on an airline, I would avoid that airline like the plague.

I bet 3 years ago, most of you would have been blaming the guy if there was no camera footage. This type of thing actually happens often and people need to realize that not all guys are perverts.

4AM was just too late to stay awake and too early to wake up. I am glad I had a normal sleep with the score being 1-0 in extra time.

My cats don't go outside, they are perfectly happy as house cats, thank goodness. The reason why they don't go outside is sickos like this.

I think the chances of a cat being hit by a car outside is much higher than being mutilated by a nut.

I am "cat lover" and this makes me sick to my stomach as if happened to a human being. It is not major news in Japan yet but I really really hope this story becomes more known and his picture gets out to many people. He will be released but I hope he lives the rest of his life in shame or even fear of other people who know or recognize him.

Random stop and frisks are an American thing. It doesn't happen in Japan. They may stop you, but they have to have a ton of probable cause. Moreover, even if you were stopped they wouldn't frisk you, simply ask you questions and things. Only until you're detained do they begin to go through your belongings.

I've been stopped and searched twice in Japan. Once my car and once at the airport waiting for someone to arrive.

Posted in: Cameron Diaz bares all in 'Sex Tape' movie See in context

I'd like a little clarification. Does "bares all" mean prolonged full frontal, or just a quick nip slip during the love scenes?

We will probably end up with Jason Segel's full frontal like in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. That is something worth getting your barf bag out for.

Posted in: U.S. fetes World Cup success, as soccer buzz grows See in context

TV audience data was not immediately available, but the previous Team USA match against Portugal on Sunday evening drew nearly 25 million viewers—more than the NBA finals or baseball’s World Series, mainstays of the U.S. sporting landscape.

A World Cup game is a one time deal and everyone can unite to cheer for the U.S. no matter what city. NBA Finals and World Series can go up to 7 games with teams most cities could care less about.

U.S. can beat Belgium if they can also play an aggressive 2nd half. The last 2 2nd halves were sluggish and the other teams controlled the offense.

I actually think the refs did a good job in this game. They ignored about 90% of the diving and Portugal dives constantly.

The WC would be turned upside-down if Ghana and the U.S. went on to the next round, wouldn't it?

Portugal is nothing special anyways. You can't win a team game because of 1 household name being on the team.

I admit I'm curious. What does "girlfriend" mean here?

That's right. The word "girlfriend" is generally not used in a news article unless it means lover. Are you talking about her friend?

Poor old dude...he's probably just really lonely after his wife passed. Give him a warning and let him go

Warned by police twice and still broke into her home. Just because a woman is old doesn't mean she can allow herself to be stalked.

But if he is suggesting they might win the whole shouting match? Not yet.

He didn't say they were gonna win the whole tournament. He said the group stage and after that, anything is possible. I would rather have a player go in with confidence than a player who says we stink and will be crushed by every team.
