And who makes the electronic chip in most landmines? The American company Motorola whom via the UN the US Governments, both Lib & Republic have refused to sanction the company to stop making them. Obama is just another 2 faced Hypocrite! ALL talk - no action!

What Foxconn will do with Sharp won't get get to me buy another one of their product after is leaves Japanese ownership. I will continue to try and support locally owned and operated companies & products first for local employment - not foreign owned ones that will eventually JUST have the products made in Chinese Sweat factories!

Strangerland - "Why does it have to be one or the other?"

Posted in: McDonald's to let parents, kids cook burgers at its stores See in context

McDonald's just doesn't get do they? Instead of spending more of the poor franchisees money with marketing stunts like this, they should just focus providing on tasty food without all the proven chemicals in it!

That will certainly help stop the poor franchisees from going broke - not McDonald's as another fact is that they ONLY make money from real estate not by the food... (if you can call it that)

Maccas should take a leaf out of their Australian food outlets - Offering 'McCafe' healthy type food and healthier burgers!

Wake up to yourself McDonald's!

Th government should include the Police Force in the naming and shaming. Many police friends are forced to work on a 32 hour roster with a 5 hour sleep break, and highway patrol officers sometimes work on a 24 hour roster!

Posted in: Dogs by the hour: Company offers pet rental service See in context

As a behavioral dog trainer for many years, it's a dumb selfish idea - dogs are habitual SINGLE pack animals. Constantly taking them to different territories and making them meet strangers or other pack members on an irregular basis will certainly confuse, and therefore cause stress for them. Renting dogs is just a selfish money making business - They are an smart animal - not a robot, and should not be just for entertainment. I may also add, the my obseravtions of the 5 years I've lived here, most people have not got a clue how to bond or look after dogs, e.g - heavily patting a dog on the head!

Posted in: McDonald’s global sales drop in February See in context

Great News! The sooner McDonald's wake up to themselves and start selling healthy type food OR close down by not doing so the better!

Their current chemical & fat laden ingredients has a huge cost to nations health bills, and their arrogant use of palm oil is wiping out environments.

P.S. Please also be reminded that McDonald's ONLY makes their money from real estate - not from food. They are one of largest real estate holders in the world....

It's a proven fact that electricity costs increase, in some case dramatically after privatizing electricity industry, as companies have to profit for share holders. In the case of Australia, the cost tripled and there are 1000's consumer claims against private electricity companies secretly increasing prices, offering dubious contracts, and manipulating costs!

Let us hope that the funding boost will improve that service, lower the costs that are now far too expensive for what you get in return - 7 kg carry on baggage limit with a $160.00 charge if you are over that. The small amount of Narita staff opening check ins 15 minutes late. a 15 kg check in baggage allowance - 5 kg lower than most others and maybe they can even provide headsets in Star class that work in stereo, and not just from one ear. But hey, maybe the boost can help fund Alan Joyce's salary of $5M + PA!!

Posted in: Casino bill delayed again; resort opening could miss Olympics See in context

Good, and I hope that all the Police and all the government departments that will have to handle all proven social problems that casinos cause to society are hoping they never happen - associated crime, child abuse, suicides and company fraud associated with Gambling Addictions. Plus the black money mafia systems that are always involved with casinos and we must not forget the reduction in consumer spending for other businesses, as much of money will be allocated to lose to the casinos. They are an unnecessary parasite that Japan's society does not need. The only reason the government wants them is the huge tax revenue gained that will be gained from them, and the short term employment opportunities.

The only players that win from casinos are the owners and the government - It's been proven that Society has always been the losers!
